In my experience, it’s because nine times out of ten, they didn’t actually buy anything. And the one time they did, they bought something completely outside the parameters they said they HAD to have when seeking your advice.

We aren’t. We are probably going to get a Z5 that’s priced right below a 6 Series, and a Supra that might make you question why its not a Lexus.

You aren’t thinking this through.
Look, here’s thing about warming up your vehicle with remote start....
I bought a Costco membership just for the savings on a bedroom suite. There isn’t a Costco for miles, but it was definitely worth it. I can see myself doing the same thing for a car, if I’d done sufficient research.
Remote starting it would be better
Correct me if I’m wrong, but it seems to me that the people who will pay for a Costco membership tend to be pretty money-savvy; they understand that paying for a membership and buying in bulk can save them money in the long run, a counterintuitive concept that impulse-buyers are less likely to understand. All insurance (shipping, health, home, auto) is statistically a bad investment. It it weren’t, it would be a terrible business plan.
Insure those risks that you cannot afford the loss of, or if there is some other benefit from the insurance (for example, I buy dental insurance because my dentist charges less with the insurance, so my total cost is lower).
Neither do I.
