Ebay is your friend in these situations. You can normally find ANY tire in ANY specific tread depth to match your other 3!

I think since the pirellis are on so many stock cars, if you get the pzeros in a stock size, your set. For example, on my camaro SS, the Pzeros were $90-110 a piece but no other tires in that class were that cheap, but thats because they were OE equipment.

Now days I feel like everything is closed when it snows. Work closes, schools close... I’ll be sitting at home enjoying the day off... haha.

I disagree on number 2. The way that dealers convince people they need new tires now days is insane!

I picked some up for free from a dealership that still had 8-10/32 on it. Thats insane to me.

If they have 4/32 or less its not worth your time, but 6-8/32 isn’t a big deal.

In addition, sometimes people get a flat tire

I lived in syracuse. One thing I always tell people down south is that “Most people drive year round in Front-wheel drive sedans. They don’t need SUVs or 4x4, and they don’t crash. They don’t get snow days, and they somehow all live just fine. What they do however, is learn to drive”.

I lived many many years in

This is funny because I read reviews that said they were awesome. They weren’t awesome in my last car. I then had them installed in an exotic and they still stink...

But they are SOOOO CHEAP. There’s no cheaper “performance tire”

I used to buy winter wheels. Finally I gave up and decided it wasn’t worth the money.

Last year I just left our winter wheels sitting in the garage and never mounted them.

This year I’m selling them on ebay for people like you guys. Blizzaks + second set of wheels.. who wants ‘em!

I didn’t think it was worth it. All

Wow... the number of “tips” that I think are really BAD advice are astounding on this round, but there are some good ones too.

Why not buy used? that doesn’t even make sense to me. I buy used all the time. I check the date stamps, and buy tires with long life left. In fact you SHOULD buy used if you damage a tire so

Oooo.. .does it count if I wrecked another car?

I bought a wonderfuly beat to heck 280zx, and I still lived with my parents at the time. I was still a car novice, so I didn’t totally know what I was doing, but I wanted to get this car in good running shape so I could drive it.

I decided I was going to work on the

I have that same green welding handbook! My pops gave it to me.

1. Lets take a moment to respect that a lot of hard work and talent went into this thing. It is really WELL done, and it took quality craftsmanship. that level of craftsmanship should be respected.

2. Lets take a moment to then remember why crack is illegal. Think of what would have happened if that level of talent and

First time the first post has actually been COTD worthy. Take my star.

But don’t take whatever Torch and Elon are getting into. It may be a killer business ideato sell it, but clearly taking it sends you off the deep end.... That must be number 4 BTW

They share 80% of the same components... and the 20% difference was all cosmetic. thats hugely beneficial, with the same engine bay, control panels, etc. That means parts can be readily received from both places, and chrysler computers and whatnot can work on them preventing you from having to go to a specialty shop.

986s are so small I can’t fit in them.
S2000s are so small I can’t fit in them.
Z3s are so small I can’t fit in them.
NA/NB Miatas are so small I can’t fit in them unless I replace the steering wheel and remove the door arm rest (which we did for an autocross car)

So I guess the answer may be, “More engaging and fun to

I apologize, I could have been more clear.

Check out this one in Cali:

You said you want the V6.

I was adding you want the 6 spd V6 not the 5 spd v6. The early v6 manuals were 5 spd, the later (after 02) were 6 speed. never meant to suggest you were suggesting auto.

why do you say its a money pit?

its a chrysler, known generally as reliable, and doesn’t have any complex electronics to deal with? I can’t think of a much cheaper roadster to maintain except maybe the miata.

I autocrossed mine and had no problem holding my own against the miatas. Weight isn’t its friend, but it rand surprisingly well in stock class with the v6.

It runs C stock class, against cars like the 06-15 miata. The later miatas can take it, but it holds its own against the 986s 2.5s and 2.7s.

you want the 6 spd though over the 5 spd. The 6 spd transmission is a lot more fun to drive.

The seals in the top will go, but it only takes an hour or 2 and about $30 to fix them. Its pretty easy. I’ve replaced a lot of them with no trouble.

The pump and lines are bulletproof.

Hardly a reason to be scared off by them unless you call the dealer and ask for a quote. They want like $6000 because they replace the
