I think Trump might have just saved PSA from a big mistake...

I find cases like this interesting because they can go in so many paths that are unknown.

For example, if GM got the ad from an ad agency, they likely have indemnification terms.
My understanding is the ad agency acquired it from an independent photographer.
The independent photographer is probably the weak spot here,

I thought this was some random person who took the photography and either sold it to or sent it to GM?

I’ve always been a bit confused by that.

Say I pay you to write part of a book for me as a contractor.

you provide 33 pages, that I incorporate into my 250 page book.

I own the rights to what you wrote.

I question how this is different?

However, I hate to speculate. That is why we have contracts, so we don’t have to

Every time I have commissioned artwork, I have acquired all copyright rights. However, I’ve seen some artist contracts where they ask for all the rights, so I think thats common. Of course I always force the artist to give up rights in order to do the job (after all- thats why I’m paying, so I have the art), but I

I’ve tried to buy a couple of cars in my life where they said no test drives or inspections.

I’m like... you want me to buy a used car... with no test drives?

But some people have to buy that stuff, or the dealers wouldn’t even try it?

Doesn’t the manual have some forced options?

Cadillac is the one OEM that sems to do OK with it. The badge IS the sensor suite.

A short term lease is the WORST way to give them a trial.

They have the worst residuals you can find.

They aren’t too bad if you buy them for 10 years (100k warranty yeah!)

but if you want to “try” them, buy a 1 year old one, with $20k already knocked off the value, buy it, drive it for a couple years, and resell it.

THEY don’t have a manual transmission that works on anything but the 2.0t.

They aren’t goinh to develop a new manual transmission from scratch for the 27 people who want to buy it...

I can’t read these without feeling like its 2008 and we are talking about cadillac.

“Cadillac beats the germans at their own game”
“cadillac brings out a real competitor”
“Watch out BMW, Cadillac is here”

And you know what happened to cadillac? Nothing. They were competive for a few years in theory and everyone got over

I guess I’ve always considered DCTs “Manual cars” because they don’t have a torque converter, and have a direct connection to the drivetrain. and the driver has direct manual control over the transmission shifting, unlike an automatic (even an automatic with those silly paddle shifters).

In short, I consider a DCT a

Can someone educate me on Noble?

Nobles in the US used to all be manufactured in Hamilton Ohio.

When the Hamilton plant shut down, manufacturing moved to Riviera Beach, Florida.

When it moved they changed the Name from Noble to Rossion.

This is where I get confused, because while the Rossions look like nobles, they don’t

I hope so. That’ll be a good price for something like this.

No, citroen.

they are actually from citroen...

I don’t get the dual clutch dislike.

You get direct engine transmission connection, just like a manual and not like an automatic, with direct RPM to wheels speeds

A dual clutch is like an advanced manual transmission, with faster shifts and less slippage.

I love dual clutches... and the only reason we don’t see DCTs in

Also funny.. I thought it looked like the new mid-engine corvette.

The thing even uses corvette headlights!

I’ve always viewed jobs as the original welfare for people who can’t hack it on their own. I know that sounds odd, but the definition of a job really is “helping” someone else with their goals and getting a kickback for that help.

I hope to see more people less dependent on jobs in the future. Anyone with a “job” is

I’ll be honest. I’d have more sympathy for unionized auto workers if they got paid less than me, but since they all get paid way more than I do, I have a hard time feeling their pity.
