If the film's title changed from The Post to The Papers, maybe your salient point DOES matter more than you think.
(1) Reading primary sources first-hand occurs less frequently in non-honors track U.S. history courses
2) In current state of cultural knowledge, young people sees James Franco's face on a book

I swear on a stack of YA novels, I mis-remembered Paul Zindel as Paula Zindel.
I recalll I chose books by their titles and cover design. How can a kid see My Darling, My Hamburger and Pardon Me, You're Stepping on My Eyeball! and not take that book off the shelf? Altough an author's gender was NEVER a deterrent to

Did you post again after you saw the finale? The exquisite way you profile Carrie Coon's every woman force of nature acting is jaw-droppingly-good. I'd love to read any additional thoughts you had.. Thank you for this # season write up fro Carrie's 1st episode to the ending. A very satisfying read.

And Vanessa Williams before them.

Something New (2006)— Sanaa Lathan is a CPA; Simon Baker is a landscaper, she hires after blind date gone bad. Unlike Hitch, this PoC woman/white man have heat. The film eroticizes both bodies equally, esp Baker's hot sweaty outdoor worker . — pre Mentalist days. Image Awards (NAACP) and BET Awards embraced this

The Leftovers was a show about those [Mad Lib] blanks, and about how impossible it truly is to know what to put in them, so of course it should end with ambiguity. Kevin is happy to accept how this blank has been filled, and we can fill it another way if we prefer.

It's not at all against AV Club rules to reference other critics or reviews! I'll link to Alan Sepinwall's review "Does The Leftovers' Finale Let the Mystery Be?" at Uproxx. It's fantastic, tbh. http://uproxx.com/sepinwall…

Random comment about the goat:

Rectify crossed my mind during the finale.

But scapegoat is actually the right term, the goat served the purpose of bearing the burden of the internal turmoil that divided a community, then once extracted, killing it — so the community purges outward, rather than ravish itself from within.

Take that tired jokes about snow globe* finales. The Leftovers has a LADR Machine globe filled with actual hardening liqud to shut all those doubters down.

Yes! Nora's and Kevin's personality traits are so dissimilar to me — except, the stubborn determination both share — I vaciliate in how much I believe in the Jameson sibling relationship. No fault on the part of Coon or Eccleston Over 3 seasons, Nora and Matt show up to care take for each other, sibling

Jacqueline's discovery of Doc Martens , also an unexpected pleasure. I have no reason to wear stilettos on a daily basis, so I admire how well Jane rocks Jacqueline's high heels as easily as slippers.

Whenever Titus tires of asking "What is this white nonsense?", he should raise that Teddy Ruxpin in the air, make it squack "WHITE LADY!" , and save his breath.

High-Five Bribery!… I laughed til I cough, with spats of guilty thinking "'Aww, Titus, that's serious High Five Bribery you held out over Kimmy all this time."

Re: Kimmy's Bunker, Thought #2 — On a lighter note, if Kimmy did crash with her Columbia U friends in their dorm room, that scenario is ripe to mine for relatable situation comedy. Sure security is much tighter these days, but what residential college doesn't have the underground of hometown friends, boyfriends,

re: Kimmy Making Her Own Bunker
I'm not against Titus& Kimmy's making up —- their high-five montage gave me the laughing, choking fit I crave from UKS. But you're right. Their quick resolution defers both Kimmy Makes and Manages Her Own Bunker, which begins the eventual step towards, Kimmy's Rents Her Own Apartment.

I'm not high, but I can't stop looking at the phrase either, and twisting it.

Your praise for the 1990 movie's take on Moira (McGovern) and Offred's (Richardson) reunion at Jezebels inspired me to scour YouTube for clips. Sadly, this scene isn't archived there. I found this still: http://c8.alamy.com/comp/BJ…
