Gold has no value other than we accept. Nothing backs gold’s value except belief.

Gold is also an arbitrary thing to measure ‘value’ against.  You can dig more out of the ground.

No it isn’t, and the natural order of things isn’t exactly what humans are looking for considering our affinity for cooked foods and manufactured goods that don’t appear in nature. Capitalism is a bastardization of the competition drive we have, it’s certainly not how nature works though.

You seem to be under the mistaken impression that the world couldn’t possibly revolve around bullshit despite the entirety of human history

Did you forget the /s tag?

I’ve learned that when walking or riding, I will never cross in front of a car without first making eye contact with the driver.

Most common issue I’ve had: Driver is only looking to their left for oncoming traffic to turn left. I am approaching from their left to cross the street with the traffic that has a green light. Driver then turns right or rolls into the crosswalk without ever looking to their right for a person, just staring left at

While I support the right on red, having been a pedestrian clipped by drivers who don’t turn their heads before accelerating takes away any passion I have to fight for it. Way too many drivers just look back for cars and try to punch it without checking.

I was both amazed as a driver and terrified as pedestrian.

All things considered, the last Impala was actually very nice. GM finally woke up and made a decent sedan. And then the Sedan market died. Yup. GM.
