ya know what.... i think youre right on that one. i dont recall there being a ton of headroom back there... im 5'11" with a short torso, so im sure most folks taller than I may have a conflict..

+1 for the Sienna.

The new Sienna is pretty hot. With a baby on the way, and a 110lbs dog, we intend on picking one up in the next few years before having a second child. I just hope they release a Prime version prior to that.

The 2022 Hyundai Tucson comes in a hybrid and can get a tow hitch mounted. Since we get the long wheelbase model in the USA, it should be plenty big enough in the backseat. If that isn’t big enough, the Santa Fe also comes in a hybrid this year. Neither look hybrid-y and I doubt a teenager/young adult would mind

The Kona EV is a subcompact. I’m not sure how the rear seat space will do in this case.

Professional wheel designer here. Anytime you have a different number of spokes to lug holes, a bowl in the hub area (like on the TE37) for the lugs to sit in is one of the better solutions. Covered caps are another option.

This recall is nothing if not total.. Sorry.. slow work day..

I know, right? If you aren’t buying it for the driving experience (which almost nobody is) a hybrid should be the default option at this point. The technology has existed for long enough, it should be the standard.

It’s only 4 MPG, but that is 28% better. That’s not insignificant.

You are able to have this discussion because gas in the USA is just way too cheap.

For sure. The author seems to think that’s a good thing. I could see an argument for that (EV adoption will be aided by EVs not looking like something completely new and different), and I could sort of see the opposite argument (with EVs needing a bit of specialness/distinctiveness to make people feel better about

I agree with you. I just meant it sucks that the range obsessed people will knock this car down and it’ll not do well because of it. 250mi or range is plenty for me.

It really looks like the preview of the RAV4's midcycle refresh.

I like it! I also like that the interior isn’t a monument to minimalism!

It looks like a 2006 Jaguar

‘90's Teal is back baybee!

It is substantially better looking than the Model S and the Mercedes Benz EQS, but it probably won’t compete on range or performance for the price. 265 miles range is pretty weak.

How fast do you need to get to 60?   Last I checked, the streets aren’t for any form of legal racing, and old penalty box economy cars from the 80's with there mid teens 0-60 numbers would be at the legal speed limits back then.

The base US Golf does it (did it?) in 7.7, so this really isn’t dangerously slow. It’s just not as fast as a Tesla (and it’s hopefully less expensive too).

6 seater EV that doesn’t cost $100k? Please design one for the US, please! There is probably a market for a nominal 6 seater that doesn’t get 23 mpg highway.
