That Rolls looks....garish. Traditionally they were understated elegance. But hey, who am I to critisize with such great sales?
The fundamental problem with corporate attitude towards regulation is that it fails to understand it’s there to protect EVERYBODY, the corporation included. Short-term or “That’s Someone Else’s Problem” thinking can absolutely ruin companies just a few years down the line, which is something nobody wants.
2nd Gear: I’m sure the German authorities are going to be absolutely thrilled with Tesla low-key threatening them via press release. I’m sure they’ll jump right on expediting that process for King Elon.
This would be a very different if the driver was anything other than a white woman. I'd lay odds she doesn't get more than a slap on the wrist.
The fact that all chargers are not required to work with all electric vehicles is some dumb ass shit.
It sucks that the small coupe market is dead. You figured that single people or childless couples would be interested in cars like the Veloster but weirdly are buying family crossover suvs.
Oh man, is that why they’re so hard to find?
We call that “rolling thunder”.
Real life range probably won’t make it to the trailhead and to a picturesque enough spot without needing to be towed back.
If there was a way for these people to “roll electrons” that might make it acceptable. Maybe a Tesla Coil mounted to the tray?
I can’t help but notice that this teaser doesn’t once show it on anything other than a flat, immaculately paved surface.
Not an implication of it’s capability, of course- just a very odd marketing choice... It’s like the cinematographic version of saying the quiet part out loud.
This right there. This shit needs to be banned, no matter what propels it.
It still just feels to me like giving people (without any training) an 830 horsepower vehicle with bad visibility that weighs as much as a Class 3 truck and can hit 60 mph in a little over 3 seconds is a recipe for disaster. I give it like two weeks before somebody ‘Watts for Freedoms’ over a family in a crosswalk.
The main challenge these EVs are facing in the US, and in places like the UK, is that their parent brands are not licensing access/compatibility to Tesla charger’s network and are instead building their own, which will take many years to reach the same density of charging stations as Tesla’s. The EQS’s 478 miles of…
If you aren’t a homeowner or high rise yuppie, I wonder what your chances you are driving a >$40k car. They may not have to worry about it for a while. Automakers don’t make money on used cars so unless you are buying new, they don’t have an incentive to make what you want. As soon as new car buyers prefer EV’s,…
regular apartments will start offering some sort of charging setup for EVs within the next decade
I wonder what the plan is for people who live in places without a dedicated parking spot once all these companies go EV-only? Like if you live in some suburban apartment complex and park in a big concrete lot, there’s no way they are going to put a charger at every space, right? Will you have to fight for a space near…
545 lb-ft of torque at a standstill probably helps too.
