When the Sheriff was telling his story about the teenage girl who was dying and told him to go to his wife, my sister wondered if Lydia had a sister.  I don't think we've heard anything about one but that could be another interesting bit of banshee knowledge.

@avclub-46174c4ab4be638d4e58da53e1834d6b:disqus I think @avclub-2d670fb2174bd9c75eaec331515ad401:disqus means the makeup it takes to cover the real tattoos on his chest and such, not makeup to make them.

Add to that that he's looking over A Tale of Two Cities in Scott's room ("It is a far, far better thing I do…") as the kids are sacrificing themselves to save their parents.  I really dug this episode.

Technically this season is 24 episodes, something about getting a tax break to film in California but they needed X number of episodes to qualify.  That makes this 3A with 3B premiering in January sometime, but as far as I've been able to tell they're two separate self-contained arcs, give or take a cliffhanger.

Papa McCall!  I was confused by the FBI agent like, had we seen him before?  AND THEN IT ALL BECAME CLEAR.  I loved it.

Agreed.

I legitimately liked him in The Social Network but spent most of this movie wanting to punch him.  Pick better roles, dude.

That's a good point.  I think a good tight adaptation (maybe a BBC six episode series?) could still work, but it would be hard to get the tone and perspective down right.

I haven't, but thank you for the recommendations!  I've been getting more into mysteries lately so I'll be sure to keep these in mind!

I think you're only missing Broken Harbor, right?  That could be season four—you'll be fine!  I don't think her next one is coming out until 2014 sometime.

I would watch a Dublin Murder Squad series in a heartbeat and pray they wouldn't screw it up somehow.

My absolute nerd of a brother (worse, if possible, than I am) LOVES TBBT.  I. Do. Not. Understand.

Kids who climb on rocks.

I think this actually ends up working as one of my favorite series finales ever.  I am always so happy to know the gang gets to go on doing what they love for as long as they want to.

I'd expected more batshit craziness given its pairing with PLL and yes, it's not moving too quickly, but I'm enjoying it anyway.  I have no idea if it'll get renewed.

I'm glad the money / apartment stuff is out in the open.  I couldn't understand why they didn't come forth with the money in the first place; Lacey's insistence was a pretty weak reason.

Jo could absolutely have handled the dad situation better, but she seemed so flustered that I imagine blurting it all out wasn't even intentional, but once she started she couldn't stop.

It cracked me up that we never got to see the sister.  I kept waiting for her and she kept never appearing.  I don't know why I care but I like that one of the trio has a sibling; it just didn't seem likely for all of them to be only children.

Twisted!

*She!  The illiterate part's fine though.
