I also think the show made a very interesting choice in finally having Cooper open up to Lucero, leading to their fight outside the bar and the fissure between them that followed and then robbing Cooper (and by extension, the audience) of the chance at closure, good or bad.

I loved him as Fitzgerald in Midnight in Paris. I'd love to see more of him an Allison Pill in those roles.
It is tough. But it's letting me be excited for an extravaganza instead of dread a bizarre adaptation, so I'm hoping it'll keep working once I actually see the movie.
I can't tell if I'm going to love this or hate it, but either way I'm definitely separating it from the novel in my head and letting each stand on its own. I think I'm more likely to like the movie that way.
