The most offensive thing was when they started comparing this announcement to the the announcement of the iPhone. You know what Apple never does? Hold a giant press conference to show off a concept of ideas for the future which they hope will inspire them to build a product. They go on stage with a product, and they

Omg this is perfect.

Uber black is about the same price and is the service uber launched with, and even then was gaining a ton of traction for being a much better experience. That’s something cabs should be able to compete with regardless of regulation, which they’ve only started to try doing(with apps at least), but they’re doing poorly

After a brief search it looks like there at least 4, flywheel, yellow cab, orange cab, and zoro taxi?

An electric Elise might not have been super exciting or interesting, but it was achievable and an actual product. They had some serious production issues, however they actually came to market with a product.

A 1000 dollar uber is exceptionally rare. So much so that it makes the news. The reason that taxi cabs are losing, neutered or not, is because uber X is cheaper, uber black is nicer, and both experiences are a million times better due to the app.

Except all the marketing hype around this announcement, about how they were going to change everything is complete crap. They showed off a model car they aren’t going to build that can’t drive and a list of ideas they have

Or he could’ve waited 30 minutes for the surge to lower, and still had a drunk rager. If you’re sober enough to get home you’re sober enough to see the 9x surge pricing, know that’s a lot, and agree anyways.

Between the fine, AA and other therapy crap, jailing fee’s, bail, legal fee’s, increase insurance cost, and your time now having to commute without a car, time spent doing things like AA and community service, PTO you’ll have to burn handling it, I would be shocked if paying $1000 among a handful of friends 5 times a

usury: “the illegal action or practice of lending money at unreasonably high rates of interest.”

Shockingly it doesn’t say. Considering though that the article says “It wasn’t until, after all of his friends’ stops, he got home and received the confirmation for payment of over $1,000.00 that Lindsay realized his mistake.”, it sounds like it wasn’t just a point A->B trip.

Then stop your moaning about Uber and take a cab. I’ll take an uber because uber X is cheaper than a cab, while Uber black is a much nicer experience, and doesn’t force me to find and wave down a driver.

I think the key difference is that Uber is doing it to influence supply, most of the time when people jack up prices due to demand it’s not to stimulate an increase in supply or to smooth out the demand spike.

If she drove after learning she had the condition I agree. However would you prosecute some one for driving with extreme narclalepsy if they were unaware until they got pulled over?

It’s a RWD, rear weight bias, electric car with a carbon fiber monocoque chasis, around 200hp, and under 3000lbs. Additionally it comfortably seats 4, has a decent trunk space for a grocery getter, and if need be can be outfitted with a little generator.

Clockwork orange?

Read the headline, immediately though “oh man, this has to be in florida”. Was not disappointed.

I’ll wait for reviews from people who have driven it to see if it’s been ruined because it isn’t under 3000 lbs, or doesn’t have a bespoke engine.

Does ANY manufacturer race the “exact same car” they sell in dealerships?

The second video is a 3 rotor RX8 grand am car. Also NA. But I agree it's not difficult to make a rotary sound horrible.
