You realize most double din units on the market that support carplay ALSO support android auto? And that apple isn't SELLING headunits, they just want to provide the UI when your phone is paired, because automakers are fucking horrible at UI design.

If your complaint is touchscreens in cars... that's fair. However there's no proprietary/exclusiveness with Android Auto, Carplay, or Mirrolink. Like some one else said, the auto maker just sticks them on the headunit. If you pair a device that supports one of the standards the head unit supports, you don't have to

So, I'm not really sure I understand... they're basically using the electric motor as "first gear", and then using an engine with so much power it can accelerate the rest of the way to 250 in "second gear"?

Looks more like an Aston with weird lights to me...

okay I'll bite... What situation have you been in on public roads, where you were driving responsibly, where the intervention of DSC to stop or minimize a skid, would have made the situation worse?

Ferreri offered them in a manual for a while. In 2012 they sold a whole 2 of them. Two.

oh right, I forgot that focused track car driving = all buttons on the center console out of reach.

owing more than the value of the car, due to depreciation and usually a small down payment.

And at 350/month lease the first owner would've been in 12,600 over three years... Sure you'll own a car at the end of it, but they also didn't need to worry as much about things breaking down, maintenece was done by the dealer and paid for, as well as repairs, plus a brand new car which they would've had the ability

The viaduct isn't just unsafe, it's also hideous, and blocking tons of great views of the puget sound.

I had a BMW i3 neck and neck with my RX8... given the RX8 isn't the quickest car in the world, I did not think the i3 would be a quick car. I was shocked.

As some other people pointed out, he jumped on the red, and most likely(rather than trying to put in a real time), just put on a show and did a burnout down the track.

Yeah, that's the thing on the hellcat right?

The internet does not forget, and they do not forgive. Although I haven't seen a "why did you turn" comment in a while...

Now playing

Yeah no amount of HP can overcome that instant torque.... also for arguments sake, you can rev and launch a ICE, so you engage the transmission/wheels/etc while the car is at peak torque. It's not like an ICE rolls out from 0 rpm and has to always build, especially not in these situations.

on everything from my he fiat 500 to the hellcat!

not as useful as curb feelers!

based on the number of cars I see driving around at night with no lights on, it's apparently pretty god damn hard.

haha fair point

Right? I mean he's driven like, lots of high power RWD cars before. Such a pro.
