It's not about being offensive. It's about risk and liability. The fact of the matter is, how can you tell if he is telling the truth or if he is lying? I agree this may be an extreme case, but unlike terrorism there are pretty big shows if some one has Ebola. There are early symptoms as well as tests for anti-bodies

The official CDC numbers are still around 50%, which to my knowledge is recorded cases. Regardless, the point is, don't joke about it in a metal tube with hundreds of stressed out people, and you'll be left alone. It's pretty simple. You don't say the word bomb in an airport, you don't talk about ebola in an airport,

Look, if you have a problem with this, take it up with the supreme court. You can't scream "fire" in a crowded space, and you can't cry wolf on one of the most feared diseases in the world currently for yucks:

I would be interested in where you had heard that. According to the nytimes:

In previous outbreaks yeah, the mortality rate was MUCH higher. However this 2014 outbreak has been handled much better, and the mortality rate in the countries of origin is around 50%:

No he didn't, however I'm not sure using the logic "people who are flying with ebola will hide that fact perfectly, therefore any comments about it should be ignored" is completely solid. I don't disagree this case may have been somewhat of an over reaction, but again, this is not something to joke about in a big

Keep in mind that the first Ebola death in the US was from a guy who lied about having come in contact with the disease. There are certain things that shouldn't be joked about, and wether you have a disease with a 50% mortality rate in about a month, while on a crowded plane with hundreds of people, is probably not

Considering the first death from ebola in the us was from a guy who flat out lied about wether he had been in contact with a carrier... trusting some one who says "no wait, i'm just joking!" doesn't really work.

RX7 has a 2 rotor wankel rotary engine. The 787B has a 4 rotor... so kinda 2 RX7 motors stuck to end. Otherwise yeah, open header wise, they tend to sound kinda like bee's. Very ANGRY bee's.

This is so fantastic! It seems so insane that 10 years ago the first state even legalized it...

The way I see it, the 924 was still not a cheap car. According to wikipedia it came out in '76 with a price tag of $9,395, which after accounting for inflation is $39,272.75. The Boxster starts at $51,40.

Thank you Porsche. I'm so sick of this rumor. The base Boxster already isn't a screamer, so either they're going to make a smaller car that's cheaper AND faster than the base Boxster.... don't think so.... or they're going to build a car which is terribly slow. Unlike Toyota, Porsche is known for making fast sports

How does that "water down" the brand? You need to keep in mind that Porsche is a premium car maker. Do they also have a history in racing and sports cars they are proud of? Sure. However their main focus is NOT as being seen as a sports car company, but a premium car company. That's why you haven't been able to buy a

I mean, if you consider going from a sports focused to a more premium focused company as being "watered down" then sure. However the Macan and Cayenne are still considered premium products with premium price tags. (Same with the what, 80k entry priced Panamera?)

I would be more interested in rolling starts as well, but we don't have those yet. Besides, this is not a small displacement large turbo car with AWD, where you see such a dramatic difference from 0-60 and 5-60. Sure you won't see 2.9 on the street, but by that same measure a F10 M5 won't see 3.7.... however if in

I'm not so sure though.... i mean 0-60 under 3 seconds... what other 4 door car with close to the weight of a hellcat charger with only 500 hp can do that?

Like you pointed out, for something that does 0-60 in under 3 seconds, 60k is bargain basement prices. Plus 60k is obtainable for a lot of people. Admittedly it isn't like a lot of people have that amount of cash just lying around, but if it's what they really want, they could make it work. Unlike a $250k+ exotic.

I could be wrong, but I feel like there are times when you'd get a peak of that insane power, and it's those moments that you buy a car like this for.

Restraining*, sorry. It's been a rough monday.

Sorry, I meant to say "working on a new rotary sports car", not a new rotary. They already worked on a new rotary, the 16x. I assume there's speculation however on whether that's a finished product or if it will have further development or if it's been shelved.
