Frankly, I hope they find a way to do it. I have two reasons for this: first, convertibles are badass, and second, with no droptop or powertrain updates in the pipeline, it's hard to see sales for the FR-S and BRZ staying consistent and strong as they've been.

After reading the forum and thinking back to some insurance claims I've had.... When I had been in an accident and the other party claimed I was liable I had to pay the deductible, then got the check to pay for the repairs. Then my insurance company went to arbitration with the other insurance agency to get paid back…

I don't get why Hoopers insurance is paying out, and I really hope that there is at a minimum a discount on the ZL1 they do find him.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but what it sounds like is GM is helping to FIND a 2013 ZL1 for the Hoopers to purchase. In other words Hooper will be getting a check from his insurance company, after paying his deductible, and using that money to pay for most of the new car, with the difference coming out of his pocket.…
