Haha, I'm so happy in my lifetime I've seen this flip. Shows you how no matter which way things go, society will always be generalizing some one.

Yeah I know.... 2+2 means 2 seats + two small people holders. Still, unless you have kids, the +2 will likely never be used.

I tried sitting in the back of one.... 2+2 is arguable.

That's not that much. About what I paid for a catback on my RX8. Plus you could hang onto the OEM one and resell your aftermarket one later, or sell the OEM one for a couple hundred bucks.

Idk specifically about the Mini, but I'm betting that Milltek/Borla/a number of other companies have a catback that would make it sound really angry while keeping it legal and not straight pipe loud. That's the route I'd go.

I'm from the US also, so yeah I don't have a ton of experience with Alpina. However I know BMW dealers sell the B7 here:

Calm down. That was my point. Mooseknuckles ISN'T talking about doing the dangerous activity you're freaking out about, therefore Jafarklabar's comment doesn't apply. Not sure why you're assuming I'm condoning that...

I agree, the Shelby GT500 is a ford. When it breaks you take it to the Ford dealership under a ford warranty.

Yeah, LA is like that also. Sometimes if you have to get over, you turn your signal on, and just stick the nose of your car in front of the other car, so that if they want to continue moving forward they have to hit you. I try to avoid it but.... hey sometimes it needs to be done.

Same, Bravo on #1!

+1

If you re-read mooseknuckles, the guy usually gets around in a off ramp lane or something similar  The people he is boxing in are swerving through traffic in the right lanes and is passing on the right.

umadbro?

In rush hour traffic where increasing the likelihood of an accident means adding 20-30 minutes to everyones commute? Probably the wrong time.

I test drove a MK5 GTI when I owned a 2003 Focus ZX3. Felt almost the same to drive, other than a bit more grip/speed, and a turbo noise.

I bet doing design work there would've been amazing. A lot of the stuff they had, even the more gimmicky stuff, was still really cool. Even if no one was going to buy a electric neck warmer/cooler, it was still such a cool proof of design.

Don't get me wrong.... I loved the quirky gadgets TSE made, and am super sad to see them go. But there are only so many massage chairs, air purifiers, remote control helicopters, neck warmers, etc that people are going to buy. Especially at their prices.

I might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure the libel suit against CR was dismissed, and TSE had to pay the legal fees:

Yeah, the baker is awesome because it's just a rack of batteries hooked up to a motor, with a switch and some breaks. However, Tesla is not the only company making extremely complicated technology to run their cars. Even standard gas cars these days with electric steering, ABS, TCS, drive by wire throttle, keyless

I read the interesting part of the article!
