Fair enough, the SRT8 first gen they tested pulled .89 on the skidpad.

How not to get hacked:

Mazda has a 8 year 100k mile waranty on the engine due to the large number of failures. TBH I think a large issue was a bunch of people bought the car, and didn't bother checking the oil every couple fill-ups. That engine dies REALLY fast when it runs out of or low on oil. Heat is everything. Although, if you plan to

Gets my vote. Basically a Bently Flying Spur for less than half the cost.... yet I'm pretty sure VAG sold more Bentlys. Also cheaper than an A8, but I'd bet in the years this was on sale the A8 probably outsold it 10 to 1.

Sounds about right. My submission was an RX8, which I picked up for half of MSRP a couple years later with 14k miles.

And the top up.... even an elise does better than that!

You clearly haven't seen the trunk.... here it is with the top down.

"The electronic stability button doesn't turn the system off, it just cuts it to a reduced-intervention mode. On the skidpad, lateral g and high slip angles are an aphrodisiac to the yaw sensors, so the Chrysler herked and jerked its way to a 0.76-g performance"

I think any 997 with a proper driver should easily be able to outdrive even the most kitted 300C. Not shitting on the 300, but I just HIGHLY doubt a 4000lb sedan is going to out corner a carrera.

Short answer? No

Now playing

Yeah, I'm REALLY temped to get a test pipe and get COBB tune. Supposedly because the cat is so restrictive to it's performance, you can get around 20 extra WHP with just a full exhaust and a tune. (Which I think is why they first said the car had 256 bhp when announced, and it later was dropped to 238).

I was in the same spot two years ago, except I wound up buying it! It was an '05 with 14K miles in mint condition. I got it for $15k off the lot.

Some people even got two free engine changes! lol.

I grew up in the US, and while what you say is mostly true, I can say it doesn't have to be.

I have to kinda agree.... This is a nice interior, however I can't say it's un-objectively better than MB, BMW, or even ford.

Yeah, this is true. I mean, you do kinda have to blame mazda for thinking an average customer is going to know anything about the car they are buying, unfortuantely...

Those intervals are such a lie. At least on my car, which has something like 21-24. I think 3-4 intervals when moving the stock up and down, and another ~7 you twist on the stock to micro-adjust.

Oh goodness! That does just sound dreadful. Lol.

I mean, it's not a complete failure, but even after just 2 years they were selling incredibly slow.

Yeah, I mean for the most part, 60-80k miles, you're almost guaranteed to need a new motor, which is why most used cars with more than 80k miles are on their second, or third if the motor blew early. Luckily they did give it a 8 year 100k mile waranty on the engine though....
