My friend made this same decision. Bought a brand new STI. The engine threw a rod, got a new engine. That engine also threw a rod. Asked for his money back and bought an EVO.

Either works, although I think the stick shift is a more common indicator.

Yeah. I mean, I could even see 30's..... but at 40-50k, unless the key selling point is that it's electric.... why not save 10-20k and get a 1 series, or X1, or 3 series?

Haha, pretty much.

Yeah it is..... i mean everything on that car is rotary shaped.

If it's closer to $40k like some reports have been saying... then I'd wonder why you wouldn't just get a 1 series, or a X1, or a 320i.

Hey, if this thing handles well, comes well equipped, is "cheap" (low-mid 20's), and gets great gas mileage I think it'd be a fantastic daily driver.

Yeah, I currently have an '05 RX8, about 30k miles, no problems yet *knock on wood*. It might be predominately the RX7 that blew through apex seals.... I think a major RX8 engine failure is due to the housing cracking.... which could be heat differentials.

Yep, it took me a couple seconds to spot it, but when I did!

I was more just talking the 6-speed. TBH I usually just use the p-brake since I rarely park on hills.

"It looks like a robot scratching it's head"

lol

Hey now! The rotary engine works perfectly! It's just those pesky apex seals that are the problem.... :(

Haha, fair point. I can't imagine them having a DCT only M3, but make a manual M5.

Not a hard fast rule.... but usually a good sign.

Even picking individual pins actually leaves plenty of forensic evidence. Generally there are divets on the tops of the pins even after a key has been used to unlock it afterwards.

It's like regular picking, but instead of jiggling each pin individually you rake back and forth along the pins at different heights.

Assuming everything in the article is true...

Right, you are correct.... point being magic active suspension that allows a super soft comfortable ride, but you still get a car that handles like a super car. That's the only excuse RR can have for putting this around the ring.

May it has crazy good magneto suspension like the MP4-12C and can be wofty and RR like, and still have minimal body roll while going around corners.
