After watching the whole video... that basically sums up my experience perfectly.

I've driven a AWD non-supercharged model. It's slow as dirt, slows down up mild hills.... but it's also probably the safest car I've ever driven. Between no power, AWD, and wobbly steering, nothing you try to do in the car ever feels dangerous.

*GT3 RS 4.0

I posted this as well before I saw yours. +1

Mickey and Friends Parking structure @ Disneyland California. Because 15 is too fast.

Just imagine what you could do if you had people tuning that like people do with the GTR's V6.

Yep, that's the only thing I can think of would be price. With some sketchy maths:

I've almost hit a ladder that was open on it's side in the middle of a carpool lane on the freeway. I swerved out of the lane and back in, barely missing it. The fine for not securing something like that should be astronomical, given that you're risking peoples lives.

He also said the RX8 was "the best car I've driven all year" when he reviewed it in ~2004. Also that he had never driven a car that was so easy to drive fast, another good quote was "the guy developing this car at mazda used to drive racing cars... and it shows".

Right? This isn't Gizmodo.

That's terrifying, and incredibly impressive driving. So quick.

I'm totally sick of the love for the twins, but at the same time I get the point of them. Focusing on handling and all that.

I'd say RX8, but unfortunately it was canned about the same time the FRS came out. However it's pretty close on all your requirements, and still is a fantastic handling car with great feel.

Whoa!

If the TDI is ~$6k more than a golf, will the GTD be $6k more than the GTI?

Also they've already shown they can make a car and grow public interest. XP want's to make a inflatable electric car, and has some renders...... the government isn't kick starter.

They're established car manufacturers, sure. (Although even that's kinda rocky for both of them...)

Also, note half the companies listed aren't major market players. Fisker & Tesla.

Woah woah woah. Fisker and Tesla are "major established car manufacturers"?
