Conservatives have had a laser-like focus on the big picture for the last couple/few decades

Yeah, unless Deion just can’t wrap his head around the fact that a kid getting +$1 million can actually be 100% above board, I just can’t imagine why he’d say no money was involved.

I think Urban’s biggest mistake was thinking 25-30 year old millionaires who don’t need him would put up with him the same way the 20-year-olds whose future he had total control of did.

I’m sure lawyers will be discussing that for several months. If it’s proven that he did actually kick Lambo, Jacksonville may be able to fire him for cause and not be on the hook for anything more than what they’ve already paid him.

Jayden Daniels, QB at ASU is 6-3, 175.

I think the denials actually open up the possibility that there’s something under the table being done.

Reminds me of the guy from Oklahoma who was announcing a high school basketball game and unloaded a bunch of racial slurs. He blamed his diabetes and low blood sugar.

I don’t think that’s cynical, just observant. He’s doing interviews like he’s promoting a new album or book. People who talk the loudest about their “good behavior” typically have some ulterior motive.

This man is too dumb and narcissistic to realize he’s just a GOP pawn.

Yeah, the Chiefs are the scariest team in the AFC as far as I’m concerned. Anyone who wants to take shots at their SB performance isn’t aware that missing 60% of your 0-line can cause some problems.

I agree with you that he probably didn’t intend for it to become this big. But I disagree about the no jail time.

This is a bad take, man.

Yeah, and considering his individual numbers - and the fact that nobody who actually watches the NBA would accuse AD of being a selfish player - indicate the +/- numbers with him on the floor probably have more to do with coaches finding the guys to put around him with so many new players.

Adding my 2 cents to your stats comments, the season isn’t even 1/3 of the way done, so anyone focusing too hard on stats right now just doesn’t have a big enough sample size to really craft a true narrative.

AD could clearly play, though, and there wasn’t a team that wouldn’t have taken him. Nobody wants to pay the NBA’s second-highest salary to someone who adds very little value to the team. If they did, Houston would have traded him. The fact that they still have him - despite the fact that they have publicly said he’s

Unless everyone in Houston’s front office is a fool, they’d play him if they thought it would improve his trade value.

if Federer or Nadal had such a quoteworthy and cringeworthy freakout, wouldn’t we hear about it?

I’m also surprised Stewart didn’t get more. Like you said, what LeBron did was aggressive, but definitely a basketball play and it doesn’t look like there’s any intent to give Stewart a cheap shot.

And while it’s unclear what exactly Kanter’s end game is, I’m sure it’s only a matter of time before his warpath makes another unnecessary enemy instead of forging alliances to aid his cause.

That definitely played a role. Aside from a couple decent seasons, the whole FleetCenter era may as well be flushed down the drain, if you’ll forgive the awful pun.
