Completely agree. I played just about every major sport at one point or another growing up, but whenever I asked my parents if I could play football, the answer was a resounding, “Absolutely not!”
Fully agree. I hope he’s able to rebound and have a great career for Arsenal (until he inevitably gets sold to Man City) and England.
Fellow Arsenal supporter here.
I don’t have a lot of faith in the FA actually doing anything.
I think it’s pretty clear that Bill Cartwright coached him...
Super interesting. I didn’t know that’s actually what the Atlanta Flames were named after. I’m kind of surprised they kept the name when they moved.
I couldn’t agree more. Growing up, my friends and I all played sports year-round, but not the same one. Fast forward 10-15 years to when I was coaching high school basketball. We’d put on basketball camps during the summer for kids of all ages, and I still can’t believe how many parents would say something like,…
Unfortunately, this is not just an NBA problem. There was a great article on ESPN a couple years ago that basically said that a lot of guys’ bodies are already broken by the time they get to the NBA.
I mean, technically that’s true. No “reasonable” people do believe that stuff.
If she’s dealing with some form of social anxiety, I totally get why she’d do this. It’s very hard for people who don’t have personal experience with it to understand just how miserable it is. I’ve avoided so many things I love during my life just because there was a chance I’d have to have a small interaction with…
Similar experience here. I turned it on right before halftime when the Hawks were down by 24 or 26. Watched TV with my wife for an hour.
Who would have thought that pairing a coach who’s known for melting down in big games with players who have been known to collapse in clutch situations would be a bad match?
Yeah, I thought that was a bad call, and I was rooting for the Suns. It was definitely a hard foul, and the fact that it made contact with Payne’s face meant they pretty much had to call a Flag 1, but tossing him was just absurd.
It always frustrates me to hear people debate the purpose of the minimum wage and the economics that “justify” not raising it. The man who brought it into existence (FDR) was pretty clear about what he wanted it to do...
TBF, he also called Lue “Lebron’s assistant coach in Cleveland” or something like that. I’m too lazy to find and link to the article.
Damn, all my university gave me when I graduated was a flash drive.
It’s easy to go on the road and do that with no pressure. We’ll see in Game 3.
Another thing that’s weird—I realized last week that I’ve programmed my brain to hope the Pats lose every game they play, but I’ve had to keep that in check this season.
I know you’re being facetious, but you’re not wrong about what they believe about themselves.
