Yeah, I’m mid-30's and can distinctly remember a handful of “interesting” kids in my class playing this game around 5th or 6th grade.

You’re absolutely right. I got blasted when Splinter was around for suggesting this, but really, the only way to stop people doing this is to classify confederate flags and swastikas as “hate speech” and ban hate speech.

No joke. That was unabomber-esque.

I can confirm this. My wife and I drove cross country when we moved from Boston last year.

Absolutely. I hope to continue learning. 1% is infinitely better than 0%, so that’s something.

when it comes to race, white people are always, always wrong.

Yeah, I was going to say that really escalated quickly, but I’m sure Michael (sadly) gets plenty of those emails every week.

Yep. I love how Rudolph said it was “cowardly” and “bush league,” completely unironically, after he pulled Garrett’s helmet and kicked him in the nuts.

Unfortunately, the Lions need more help than that, and I think a good start would be telling the bearded trash bag they call a coach to take a hike. But there are a few legit playoff contenders that could benefit from giving Kaepernick a shot.

Fully agree. I don’t know how sternly they enforce the rule in SF, but I was recently in Singapore for a few weeks, and I can tell you they take their “don’t eat/don’t drink” rules VERY seriously. So much that I panicked when I forgot and absent-mindedly took a sip of bottled water in the train station.

What about the people who stampede lining up to get on the plane? Some people even stand in line before the airline even starts boarding! If that’s not a telltale sign of a psychopath, I don’t know what is.

That’s the thing. It’s not just the absurd amount of protection they get while they’re active. It’s also the fact that if their actions are somehow found awful enough to be dismissed from the department, they can just go to a new city or state and have the exact same job.

I have no daughters.

I worked in the healthcare field for a while. If a doctor or nurse makes an honest mistake on a patient, their careers could be over (or they could have a series of monstrously large legal bills).

Haha, no, I have a fairly pronounced comment history of bashing on the NYT. It was a lazy example, though, I admit. I’ll do better next time.

Haha it makes me suffer a big case of second hand embarrassment

I agree with you.

Ah, the goold ol’ NYT. The same stellar “liberal” publication that was telling people to “calm down” about a black man being held captive in the Brooklyn Zoo, literally saying he washaving a fine time” being held behind bars and stripped of all his freedoms.

A lot of people like a side of hate with their chicken.

I thought that was funny too.
