Well, what product is the company making? Is it a product that will somehow, at some point, involve marketing to consumers? Who are the end users?

Google the reasons and you’ll get the answers.
At some companies there is an effort to move women/minorities to the top of the pile. Some people think this is unfair, but you can think of it as an attempt to counteract our subconscious biases that unfairly keep us from considering women and minorities. Also, it’s unlikely someone truly unqualified would get hired.
Not every job in a technology company, even high paid ones are in software development. But if you walked into a tech company in the Bay Area you would need sunglasses to ward of the whiteness.
I’m going to take a Risk and point out that there were some damned good shows about working class women in the 80's and 90's. Rosanne, of course. The Sugarbake
She’d demolish him. He’s only brave when there’s a camera around or he’s on twitter.

Other people can’t smell that?

Even the people who hate his politics still respect the guy because of his absolute devotion to his district and his state. He has deeply held and very strong convictions, but he is not an…
That’s stupid, though. I don’t even like Farrakhan, but to say that he’s ever participated in activities against Jewish people that are comparable to activities the KKK has participated in against Black people and Jewish people and lots of other types of people is simply not factual. So once again, someone’s “views”…
