If you want to say that about 2021 Johnny Depp go right ahead but I don’t really think that criticism applies to Edward Scissorhands era Johnny Depp like Cox is doing here.

I’d be tempted to call Russ untradeable if it weren’t for the fact he’s been traded three times in the last three seasons lol.  Guess there’s always another sucker out there...

Baby Driver would have made a great short film but there wasn’t enough content there for a feature length movie.  Both the story and the characters were non-existent; you’re really only watching it for the action set pieces which weren’t *that* great.

Just getting some natural light coming in through the roof is a huge benefit; even when the sunroof is closed the light coming through makes the cabin feel much more open.

Can’t really bring myself to cheer for either Jake Paul or the convicted rapist in this one. Maybe I can cheer for the ring being struck by a meteor or something?

I’d be really curious to know the creative process for this movie. Did someone with pixar want to make a space exploration movie but Disney would only fund it if it had the obvious nostagia bait and toy selling potential of Toy Story or was someone tasked with making a Toy Story prequel and came up with this?

I feel like the internet has way overcorrected on Carole Baskin; everyone feels bad because a reality show tricked them into thinking she was a murderer so when they realized it wasn’t true they rebounded way too hard and started calling her a saint.

Everything about this movie seems so bland. A bunch of superheroes no one has ever heard of fighting the most generic CGI monsters imaginable against a muted backdrop.  This is just impossible to get excited for.

Chapelle previously compared himself to a slave to gain leverage in a routine contract dispute and it worked! Legally he had no leg to stand on but the bad press was enough to get him the contract he wanted. Dude has no shame about manipulating the media and I’m not surprised that’s his go-to move here.

Yeah, when I was in university I (and pretty much ever single person I knew) would have jumped at the opportunity to get a year’s worth of fast food for $150.  I don’t know how the local high school or college didn’t find out about this deal and abuse the hell out of it.

> $150 got him a yearlong membership to Six Flags Magic Mountain that included unlimited roller coaster access, free parking, and two free meals a day.

This doesn’t surprise me at all; it’s always been fairly apparent that her real passion is indie scene and she just takes the occasional big-budget hollywood project for the paycheque so she can keep doing indie movies for basically nothing.

lol at thinking manufacturers would drop prices in a direct to consumer model.  Passing savings on to consumers is totally a standard part of capitalism.

Yeah this is an enthusiast website where manual transmissions add value but among the general public they’re *incredibly* undesirable; if you’re willing to put up with the annoyance of driving a stick you can score some amazing deals.

There’s no way this dude turns down a $1500 offer...

People have no idea how bad these things are for the environment; the engines are so inefficient that one gas leaf blower has the same environmental impact as like a dozen idling cars.

This has been absolutely my experience; go inside and you’ll just stand around like an idiot trying to get someone’s attention while everyone in there focuses exclusively on the drive thru.

This is why the smart comedians transition out of stand-up at some point; comedy is a reflection of society and as society gradually changes it’s hard for comedians to change with it and stay relevant.

Scott Pilgrim isn’t my favourite but I have to give him credit as he managed to make it distinctly his own while staying true to the source material which isn’t always easy.

I agree in principle but also think that his two most recent movies have been a the low point in his career so unless One Night in Soho is a return to form there may be some value in going back to his earlier work.
