Oh no - those are the *only* officially released versions nowadays unfortunately! you can’t see Star Wars without the digital crap. so there are a couple big fan created things - harmy’s despecialized editions and the newer 4k77, 4k80, and 4k83 projects. look em up if you’re ever curious about seeing the star wars you

can’t tell if you’re joking or not but there are two different very nice looking versions of the OG movies floating around. I don’t even have the 4k restorations yet but they look phenomenal

god, IX ruined star wars so hard for me that I just want them to stop making this shit. sure, give us more SW video games, more spinoffs or whatever, but they’ve utterly trashed anything good about the core saga.

no shit lol it’s a game I played and liked. what’s your excuse?

> literally have never played the game

That’s exactly how I read it too, and man that entry made me sad.

one of comedy’s chief components is repetition

Two years ago. People who actually played the game enjoyed it and moved on, but other people turned *disliking a game* into part of their personality lol

I mean, that sure was the lingering narrative on the internet especially on sites like this!

Uh yeah, the whole thing with DLSS is that it enables even midtier computers like mine to play games with RT enabled. Comparing it to what pixar does in movies is pointless, I mean you could say “hey videogames don’t look as good as real life” if you wanna use that logic.

other examples of games with good RTX include Control, Cyberpunk 2077 (shocking, I know)

I love that the reason Fallout NV is “bad” is the same boring complaint that the LV strip wasn’t larger. who gives a fuck? It’s literally the *everything else* about the game that makes it the best 3D Fallout by a landslide. Baby ass logic lol

I need to play that one. Insomniac admittedly did a fine job with RT in the spiderman games.

Yeah, Elden Ring struggles to hit 60fps normally, I’d much rather they spend their resources locking down a solid framerate rather than implementing poor RT

Sounds like you just haven’t seen good ray tracing on PC.

I feel like you’re just  hung up on the first person thing

“ray tracing” is pathetic on consoles and I feel like developers should put their efforts elsewhere. this is less than a training wheels version of the tech, it’s just a giant performance cost with barely any visual benefit.

They’re both open world rpgs with similar mechanics, stat based combat, narrative design etc. The aesthetics are different - scifi vs fantasy, first person vs third person.

You guys have such a boner for dragging Cyberpunk lol

People really need to learn what a cliffhanger is. It’s not just any ending where we don’t get a definitive “and everyone lived happily ever after” card slapped over the credits lol
