Share some examples of great story based shooters since Titanfall 2 that aren’t COD or Doom, I’d love to hear about them.

good to hear! I haven’t played either of those but I do want to play them. I’ll pick 60fps over RT any day but if you can get both, that’s nice

Cyberpunk RT was such a letdown - I kept switching and trying to even notice the difference, couldn’t believe how much performance was lost for something so trivial to the eyeball. and with Control I imagine that if I’d started in 30fps mode I might have been able to take it, but I tried switching after a few hours at

Oh that is great to hear! I picked up the game on a sale for ps5 a couple months ago, haven’t gotten to it yet.

I had game pass free on my new pc for 2 months, and Titanfall 2 was such a great time to revisit - and so much more fun than Halo Infinite. I miss straightforward story based shooters, the only ones we’ve had since T2 were the excellent new Doom games I think. (I don’t count CoD lol)

It’s crazy that a 9 year old game like GTA V can’t even run at 60/4k two console generations later. Also, are there any games on current gen consoles with ray tracing that actually makes a big difference in visuals? I feel like it’s been such a nothingburger feature that got hyped up with very little result.

Only thing worse is being outraged about this outrage on a fucking gaming website.

It’s barely noticeable - I kept switching back and forth and the speed increase is far more dramatic. Once you’re used to 60fps it’s impossible to not see the 4k mode as a slideshow unfortunately

There is no 1080p mode on HFW

Are the improvements coming to the PC version? I’m tempted to buy this because it’s only $10 on ps5 but I do have a new gaming computer with the GTA V free thanks to EGS last year...

I still haven’t figured out whether this new-gen console version is in any way an improvement over the existing PC release. I bought the game on ps3, got it free with my ps4, got a free copy on PC thanks to EGS, and now I’m considering dropping $10 to play it on ps5 lol

This is the naive take. I’m playing Horizon 2 right now and fast traveling to anywhere on the massive map takes 1-2 whole seconds. It’s an insane difference between the prior game and this. Same for every other native ps5 game I’ve played so far.

Yep, more options are always better. I just almost never look at the map anyway, aside from fast traveling on occasion. It’s wonderful

It’s so annoying how Horizon Forbidden West has essentially been erased from mainstream discourse thanks to this dumb argument. Right there we’ve got a near-perfect UI for an open world game - the only thing on the screen 90% of the time is a tiny compass at the top, and elements like ammo & health pop up only in

Have you played any From games before? the community is fantastic. I was only able to beat Bloodborne thanks to help from random other players, and I was only able to figure out many parts of Dark Souls thanks to their info and help too.

So this new version isn’t adding anything we don’t have on PC, right? I feel like I’ll be fine not owning this game on a 4th platform since I can run it on my computer with everything cranked.

I’m frustrated with the lack of a pause button because I got it in the last From game and now it’s gone again.

Wow, I’m genuinely surprised they went back to no-pause after the wonderful addition of it to Sekiro. I would’ve known this already but I’m determined to finish Horizon 2 before I step in. Seriously, being a parent more than any other thing is why I value being able to pause a game - you can’t just tell a screaming

People who think these games are too difficult must not have played many 8bit era games. I can count the NES games I actually finished on one hand.

Just taking the opportunity to say FUCK the rockstar launcher. It’s honestly insane how hard it is to just get into a game and play it on PC when it comes from them. I can’t even finish LA Noire because of this, literally won’t play the damn game I paid for anymore.
