I like to wonder how many entire desktop builds people have gone through in preparation for this game. I remember back in 2012 wondering if my new Asus gaming laptop would run it. Nine years later I wonder if my brand new gaming pc will be able to run it lol

I bought a PC last week and FH5 was the first game I played on it thanks to gamepass. I imagine there are a lot of folks like me out there who don’t bother with the xbox console when we can do it all here.

I think it’s just an instance of loud minority opinions, bunch of people mad that a game that’s not for them is both popular and acclaimed

very true - great community. helpful and eager to share advice/tips/etc to get more out of these games. they are difficult sure, but that difficulty fosters a sense of camaraderie with everyone else who’s gone through them, in a way I don’t see in any other game community.

try out a PS5 and then try going back to the PS4 ui and tell me it’s without lag :)

the PS4 ui is so far from quick that it’s crazy

In lieu of customizable themes, the PS5 shows you a game-specific bespoke splash background, replete with music, for whatever game you’re hovering over on the main screen. (Those of first-party games like Returnal and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart tend to be snazzier.) Such has been the case since launch.

god the comments on kotaku have really gone downhill. for this article, all the top ones I see are variations of “actually dark souls isn’t good” lol

tell us you’re bad at souls games without saying you’re bad at souls games

this is like the archetypal “cool story bro” comment

I want a commemorative NFT of this day once the channel’s back up. Nobody better copy and paste it dammit!!!

haha welp I stand corrected! maybe they do suck that bad now :)

I know Bethesda wasn’t the developer, just publisher, but Outer Worlds is a fantastic game, so I wouldn’t call it a steady decline.

Honestly I just hope they can go back to making solid single player games. Hopefully this doesn’t sink them.

I mean, the controls were fine in 2001, it’s not like there was any precedent for a game like this so there was nothing to compare it against. but for sure I tried to play SA about ten years ago and couldn’t do it lol

God, the music in that GTA2 port video is mind blowingly bad. Just the most sparse, tuneless harsh bleeps. I suppose it might be better coming from a tiny GBC speaker rather than from my $200 headphones lol

This. It’s simply a matter of demand outstripping supply, not a total lack of supply.

I really want to build a new gaming pc finally, last one was 2012 and I just stopped using that platform for awhile now.. but xbox is making some great moves lately and I’d love to be able to play some of those games (but have zero interest in buying another console)

and original HZD looks amazing at 60/4k on my ps5, I don’t disagree with you. But I’d still love for them to be designing the entire game around the new console’s best features like the incredibly faster loading times - think Rift Apart, how that simply couldn’t be done on an older console. I want to see worlds and

Sony has now sold more than 10 million PS5 consoles. That’s up more than 2 million sales from the 7.8 million Sony previously revealed in April, and it means the PS5 continues to outpace sales of the PS4, making it the fastest-selling console in Sony’s history.
