I’m pretty late to the comment thread here, but after having a couple of days to think about it, I wanted to write out my thoughts on the film, so I figured I would post them here...

The MCU’s Captain Marvel just comes off as smug and disinterested, with a constant ‘deal with it’ look on her face in every frame of the trailer.

the only real criticism I had for Wonder Woman personally (besides what you said, which is very true) was that it was practically a gender-swapped, carbon copy of Captain America: The First Avenger. I still liked it though.
