I live in the Southeast, so it isn’t like I can just waltz over and talk to them. Not that it is up for discussion, really. It is something I made with the intent to be an homage. They can like it or not, but that doesn’t mean it should be illegal and/or punished.

This is pretty fucking stupid. I am an artist and have paid major homage to the First Americans of the PNW in the US in my art. That being said, misleading and misrepresentation are bad, obviously, but banning/punishing “cultural appropriation” is an absurd notion.

When I was in college I had a classmate who had a really hairy back. Basically he had to choose an arbitrary line where he would stop shaving his neck hair because it blended seemlessly with his back hair. I sat behind him in a light and optics class once and was a little distracted because for whatever reason I found

I went to Catholic school where we had uniforms and had boys talking about my boobs without bra straps—one of them was kind (?) enough to tell me the running joke was “Why are EK’s boobs square? Because she forgot to take the Kleenex out of the box”—-apparently the teachers knew about this and did nothing. I wore

Ha ha ha - you might be surprised. At my sons’ mostly “minority,” 65% free-and-reduced-price-lunch high school, there are quite a few outspokenly rebellious teachers. For which I am glad.

I assure you, teachers are having these debates with teachers as well. I REFUSE to discuss leggings with my students as long as the dress code allows ‘tracky daks’ and yet I’m called unprofessional.

That’s not true at all. People freaked the fuck out when skirts went above the knee and women started ditching bras. And they still do because while fashion may change, being a spiteful old scold bitching about the youths is eternal.

Men three, four, more(?) times my age began wolf-whistling at me from passing cars as I was a five-foot-nothing 11 year old, walking home from school carrying a backpack. I had barely begun to grow hips!

At 12 - 13 years old, I was fine doing my work in the same class attended by my crush.

Somehow, I have been able to

I went to an all-girls Catholic school, so I never had the opportunity to directly derail a young man’s education with my foundation garments. What is weird, though, is that even in my Catholic school uniform (high-collared shirt, necktie, calf length tartan skirt and brown loafers with knee socks - oh yeah, it was a

I have relatives who are high school teachers, and have had this debate with them. They’ll say things about how high school girls are all dressing “slutty these days” (ugh), their cleavage is too much, etc etc, they just want attention. And I’m like listen, WHY do you care? Why do kids have to dress professionally?

High school me would just have just said fuck it and chucked the bra. If you thought the straps were distracting wait until you see these G’s sway.

I absolutely agree that sci-fi/fantasy actors are seriously underrated. I also think Emma Watson is seriously overrated.

Agreed. Genre films are not often recognized for how good they are.

I have always said that sci-fi/fantasy actors are seriously underrated. It’s one thing to pull off great depths of emotion over something you have actually experienced/can talk to people who have experienced, it’s another to do it about the consequences of the dragon’s hatchling being caught in a spell crossfire or

Yeah, no. They’re suing to protect all the Joshes of the world.

Easy, it’s not your taste. That’s okay, I don’t like Drag Race but all my friends do. It’s okay to like different things.

I like the Big Bang Theory, there I said it. I don’t watch a lot of TV because I keep weird hours so I mostly catch it in re-runs. Sometimes you just want some brain candy after a long and trying day at work.

Royal blue dress.

1. The coffin lid was open

Still have to sit at the kids’ table. Still expected to travel for every single holiday, while everyone with kids (including those with grown children or whose kids aren’t in their custody over that holiday) gets to have a turn hosting.
