I don’t think I’ll ever get used to the term ‘campaign’. I also still find it slightly weird when people refer to a PC game as a ‘video game’ (for those who don’t know there used to be a distinction between ‘video games’ and ‘computer games’).

Sure, but handheld controls, especially analogs and triggers, are inevitably a downgrade compared to a well designed gamepad like the Pro Controller. I don’t think anybody’s saying it’s Nintendo’s fault, the joycons are about as comfortable as can reasonably be expected and work great for most games on the system.
Not true, they were going for ambiguity when the movie was written and produced. The writers have backed this up, the idea came about during the writing process and Scott liked it and told them to keep it. The thing about him definitely being a replicant is Lucas-style old man revisionism though, at the time of…
Secret History occupies a curious space as half-canon, in that it’s part of Frost’s canon but not Lynch’s. Frost says Lynch hasn’t read it and probably has his own ideas about a lot of these things, and Lynch’s only comment as far as I know has been “that’s his thing”. So basically it’s entirely up to us what to make…
I’m a big Patton fan and Dead Cross is my favorite thing he has done in a very long time, I am super envious right now.
Games are excellent distractions from serious real life problems. BotW was invaluable to me when I finally quit drinking, it was the only thing that could effectively get my mind off it. When reading or watching TV or movies my mind would invariably drift off and fixate on drinking, but games force you to actively…
I’m betting we’ll get GC Virtual Console from day one when they launch their online service early next year. They seem to be focusing on bringing us new VC content first, and I think it has to do with them realizing the PR problem with constantly re-selling us the same back catalog with every system. Due to the…
They said they ignored everything after II when they made H20, but they actually did acknowledge the bit about Laurie supposedly having died in a car crash from IV.
Agreed, people have been saying that about H20 since it came out. Far from perfect, but a great improvement over the later sequels it ignored and a very good ending to the story.
Now that’s a hot take.
Honestly, we shouldn’t try to turn a great actor dying of natural causes at 91 into a ‘fuck 2017' kind of thing. We should be celebrating his career and be happy he got to live such a long life.
Kirk Douglas is alive and 100 years old? Holy hell.
He was too good for the Oscars.
I’m glad Badejo’s story has become known. There was a lot of speculation about what happened to him.
I’ve been commenting on every pre-Kinja Twin Peaks revival review here and that has not been the case at all.
Don’t think so, Nintendo don’t seem to be interested in remaking classic 16-bit games that don’t really need it like Super Mario World or A Link to the Past. They will port them and that’s it.
Many SNES games have a much more timeless quality than NES games though, which has a lot to do with developers largely abandoning arcade principles to instead design with saving in mind. Super Mario World, Yoshi’s Island and more are as excellent and enjoyable today as they ever were.
Bubble Bobble of course, Puzzle Bobble is a spinoff with the title as a play on words and the only obvious and logical title!
Up to infinity notifications now, as in the number has literally been replaced by an infinity symbol.
On that note it’s nice that they’re importing old comments and all, but I have 606 notifications right now.
