Yep, and now they're going back to fix its mistakes (while charging fans again for ostensibly the same game, I admit).

Another reason I love Nintendo. They outright refuse to rush production. People whine and complain, and yet they steadfastly stick to putting out high quality product. If only Sega had learned this philosophy before rushing Sonic 06 out the door.

Your ridiculous use of 'u' and 'ur' exhausts me.

THIS is the biggest problem for me too. They keep lamenting that the public doesn't understand the new system and all the benefits of the new gamepad, but then they do nothing innovative with it except for the ability to play off-tv. I was expecting more.

Except that Galaxy 1 and 2 were, IMO, two of the greatest video games ever made. I get that more traditional fare like the New Super Mario series sells better, but I hope they don't stop pushing their own creativity.

Nintendo makes new IPs, but they don't highlight them nearly as much as the 'retreads' because they know that the majority of their audience (not the folks who spend every day on sites like this) eat this stuff up like candy. And as long as their long-running franchises continue to crank out fun, high-quality games,

We all know that Miyamoto can't live forever, so my great hope is that the sense of fun, detail, and overall care for the product that he has instilled in his games continues on with Nintendo once he retires. It looks like Iwata kind of gets it, so I'm optimistic.

Yes, because obviously this will be the only game that EVER comes out for the Wii U that's worth buying.

He's just the face of the operation. We all know Jamie Hyneman is the real boss.

This is what I love about Ninty. Can you imagine Sony or Microsoft's head honchos posing for a shot like this?

So all I need is an Xbone, enough friends (...I mean, 'family') with disposable income and varied gaming interests, and I can potentially play the entire console's catalog for free?

It's good to see what hibernation sickness DOESN'T affect.

I think he 'jumped the shark' when he was given guns in his own spinoff game that spun the Sonic franchise further from its cartoony roots and into a wholly inappropriate and disturbing turn into semi-realism. This culminated in Sonic having a 'relationship' with a human girl in Sonic '06.

Dammit. I knew I should've Googled it first before making this comment. Thanks for the info.

I pity the small percentage of idiots out there who are now anxiously awaiting the release of the game 'Death Ray Manta.'

The fact that you couldn't turn around for starters. Parts of it were fun but other sections were as frustrating as Sonic '06, if not more so.

"This hairy arm is a character that you'll care about."

...because it was all sunshine and rainbows here when Wii U and PS4 were announced, right?

I think at this point Nintendo still has enough steam that people are waiting to see what they announce at E3 - or Best Buy, to be more specific I guess - before they make any absolutely final conclusions about Wii U. I know that I am, but I'll be honest, I'm not happy with how things are going so far. The good news

I'll never understand 'Nintendo Defenders' or the 'Haters' who love to come here and praise or decry everything Ninty's done for the past ten years or more now. This isn't the era of Sega vs. Nintendo anymore. With so many options for gaming - consoles, portables, PC, ios, etc - it's not like one company needs to be
