Talk about missing the point…or maybe just completely ignoring it. 

This is one of the dumbest ideas for a show I’ve ever heard, and that’s saying something considering how dumb so many TV shows are.

Hundreds of people don’t need to lose work because of one coworker, and shows dont have to end because you no longer like them. For that matter shows aren’t dead horses because you say they are, it’s still getting ratings or they would cancel it.

This is going to breathe new life into the show. Their weird meta-tension was getting old as they aired it out in the series. One was always trying to be clever, and the other was always trying to be dumb. Solar Opposites is proof who wants to tell hilarious stories, and who thinks that making highly specific…

Community was such a great character-based show that I kind of always assumed that some of the rare empathic moments of R & M came from Harmon. I kind of vaguely wonder if this’ll suddenly turn into the sort of show that I vastly prefer but that the vocal core audience will turn their back on.

I wouldn't hate H Jon Benjamin taking over for Rick.

Honestly, I feel like Dan Harmon was always the secret (szechuan) sauce for what made the show great, so this is probably the best choice considering the circumstances.

Tim Allen has a looooong history of shirking any personal accountability whatsoever. He even blamed the libs for getting his latest unfunny network show canceled. (Which was somehow on for TEN years??). Dude, after ten years some things just run their course.

Having a dad that was similar to his character at the time, I looked at him as a role model. Should have been looking up to Al Borland instead, but toxic masculinity was the thing in the 90s.

100% believable. I never got why people thought of him as “America’s Dad” just because he played a father on a popular show. Dude’s always been a skeeze.
