I went in 2019 with my kids and I’m frustrated with how completely and successfully I was manipulated. I was skeptical about going – my kids were more Ghibli kids than Disney kids and I deeply hate being anywhere above 70 degrees – and figured I was in for it, but damned if my kids have ever been happier than giving

I used to belong to a Facebook group for the Disneyland parks and had to leave it. I used to love seeing pics of the park from back in the pre-90's, but everything started a fight. People would complain about how the park was so much better back in their day, how the parks today were perverting “Walt’s vision” blah,

So... late stage capitalism?

Surprised that there was no link to that fantastic Defunct land video:

That’s what I’ve always told people. Get that 30-yr mortgage (with its inherently lower rate) and then make overpayments/extra payments to get it done in 15-, 20- or anything<30yrs. That way if you ever get in a bind or run into financial problems you can always dial back you payments to the original 30-yr rate and

Easy enough to hit two buttons at the same time on accident when mashing the controller out of frustration. At that point it’s just a matter of figuring out which button combo you hit.

Considering that this is not listed in the manual for the game, I’d be willing to bet that it’s a developer/testing trick leftover for astute people to use.  What I really want to know is how people found out about the trick to begin with though.

One of the nice things about a mortgage is that it won’t change (unless you choose to get an adjustable rate mortgage which I would discourage you to do). So even if the payments plus associated costs are at your limit, it’s ok. Your income is more likely to go up and in 5 or 10 years you’ll be comfortable and will

Anything that goes up will eventually come down. Our first mortgage in 1981 was 16.75%. Yet we survived and were able to buy houses in later years with much lower interest rates.

I hope to encourage you young first-time home buyers. When we bought our first house in the ‘90's, the rate on our mortgage was 8.25%. But we were able just a few years later to refinance at about 5%. So even if you end up needing to borrow now at a higher rate, there’s a pretty good likelihood you can refinance at a

Adele told me to get out of the restaurant business back in 2019. She said she couldn’t tell me why, just that I’d be better off switching my whole operation over to making hand sanitizer.

To all the greys insisting that her *other* career is how she should be identified:

From my experience with injuries, doctors were telling me to move as much as I could bear within a few weeks of getting out of hospital. Your body will literally begin to atrophy with 2 to 3 weeks of no activity. You shouldn’t be lifting objects or doing any kind of labor, but walking and regular day to day movement

Almost no injuries these days REQUIRE bedrest particularly in the absence of head injuries. Back up and streaming is more impressive though I will admit.

I think thats what all that rehab right after the surgery is for.  Too much bed rest is bad for the back and also leaves you susceptible to clots and other cardiovascular issues.

I can’t believe she’s up and back to streaming so soon. I would’ve assumed injuries like this would require at least a couple months of bed rest.

She deserves every dollar she’s gonna get for this mishegas, but it’s probably going to take a while, unfortunately. Assuming that both Twitchcon and the promotional company have insurance, they’re going to be fighting to make the other side take full responsibilty, so it’s unlikely there’s going to be a settlement

The accident that has stuck with me was from 2007 at Kentucky Kingdom. A cable snapped on the Tower of Power (a sudden drop ride). The cable wrapped around the feet of a 13-year-old girl on the ride. When the car dropped, the cable sheared off both her feet. Horrifying.

What we can learn: Don’t touch people who are being electrocuted.

In a civil trial you don't have to prove beyond a reasonable doubt which is the standard for criminal cases.  In this case it was "preponderance of the evidence" a much lower standard.
