You are a true hero.

Yep. As drives got older they start to stick when turned on. In the early 90s my employer gave me an old Sun Microsystems machine the size of a 3 large pizza boxes . I’d need to beat with the backside of a screwdriver to get the drive to spin up. Was still working when I left a couple years later.

Wait, are there people that think IMITATION crab is supposed to be real crab?  Do they think there’s a species of crab called the Imitation Crab?  What the hell?

I don’t think so. I remember when he came back and first started with his jokes about trans people. I chalked it up to just him being out of the loop for a while. He could’ve acknowledged being a little behind the times and moved on. Instead he went full troll and is making unoriginal transphobic jokes a cornerstone

Another funny thing is over on Jezebel the writer there made it sound like putting the phone in a baggie was because they knew he would be upsetting people. That’s pretty hilarious because for years now comedians on tours have had their crowds putting their phones on lockdown. It comes from having high quality camera

No mention in the article that Lee is up for Felony attempted murder too in an unrelated case from December? And it was supposedly one “transphobic” joke: about the gun knife weapon Lee had on him.

I know, right? Who’s asking to hear that? I didn’t realize there was this untapped market for transphobic comedy.

What the hell is up with Dave’s Trans fixation. This ish is beyond weird by now.

Stardew Valley bc you can feel productive and have fun but if you spend too long on it it’s monotonous and just feels like Doing Tasks. Also it’s the only game I’ve ever played

“Once I went to dinner with Gabe,” explained Faliszek. “And he was beating me up, that um…’if you look at zombie movies’ [Newell said] ‘Night of the Living Dead is about racism…Dawn of the Dead is about consumerism.’”

It seems like Gabe’s objection was more philosophical/conceptual, but from a saturation point he’s also not wrong. That era was rotten with zombies in movies and games. It was a really tiring fad. In my mind, the only reason l4d really shined was because of just how ridiculously well executed it was as a co-op horde

Especially if she promised them a donation. That's skeevy.

This whole series of trials is an absolute shit show. The details are horrifying on both sides. What I hate the MOST are Depp fans turning court footage into GIFs and laughing at the whole thing.

I would guess that ghost-written or not, the intended “author” is still culpable to a fair degree, having consented to publish the work under their own name. But I can only guess at the actual legal rules of such an arrangement.

Yes, I should have remembered that. In fact, it led me to realize that you could usually follow a movie just as well without the sound. I refused to pay for the headphones.

Don’t clean dirty underwear, replace them. Don’t be gross.

This one might seem weird, but it really helps if you’re stuck in a middle seat: Strap your legs together...

As soon as it is allowed, I move my under-seat carry-on so it is under my legs, then put my feet are under the seat in front of me. It lets me stretch out a bit and is a tiny bit more comfortable that way.

I don’t lean my seat back. I used to fly a lot and I believe that my room is the space from under the seat in front of me to as far back as my seat goes.  So if the person in front of me leans their seat back, I have no problem with that.  It’s their space.  But I don’t like it when it happens to me, so I don’t lean

This will be like call centers. People from the Philippines and India with incomprehensible accents working for even worse wages taking your order. This may actually end up worse than call centers since cultural expectations of food could be radically different in other parts of the world
