All spring and summer there were ads for charities soliciting funds in order to feed kids who were out of school. Kids rely on this food. Trashing perfectly good food is insane.

It could be beyond forgetfulness, "irresponsibility", or lack of funds. There could be a language issue too. Those forms aren't exactly easy to read if you aren't particularly fluent in English... (and trust me I've gotten free lunch/breakfast or reduced lunch/breakfast from 1st grade till I graduated high school)...…
