They didn’t have enough $$$$$ to grease the palms of the MTA media folks. Therefore, they were DENIED. It’s stupid but it is more about greed than keeping women down.

I LOVED jury duty. I was on the Grand Jury. One day a week for 12+ weeks. We got to vote on multiple cases daily. Things moved along pretty quickly. It was an eye-opening experience too... I learned a lot about how law enforcement and the justice system operate. Kind of spooky but interesting.

I actually think it’s weird to force little girls to “cover up”. What are they supposed to be covering? Little kids are physically identical up top at that age. I imagine it’s difficult to explain to a toddler that even though she looks just like a little friend or sibling that happens to be a boy, she needs to cover…

Word on the street was that the role of Lucious was intended for Wesley Snipes, but Taraji really wanted Terrence Howard to play Lucious... and she got her way. I feel Mr. Snipes would have been a much better choice. Dunno if he would have been a better singer though.

I adore Broad City. It’s a fantastic show. Maybe they weren’t nominated because they have a relatively small audience. TV/Film/Music awards seem like popularity contests (or $$$ contests) and a lot of great people/works go unacknowledged.

The police are more objective than a college trying to potentially cover up the stuff going on on their campus. Colleges LOVE to sweep things under the rug. Just like corporate HR departments, colleges treat reports of wrong-doing in a fashion that protects the company/college rather than the victim.

YEP. Shrimp Boil, Crawfish Boil, Clam Boil, Lobster Boil, Crab Boil... any of these things are the best thing. Hell, gimme a big bowl of mussels boiled in white wine, garlic, and saffron with some crusty bread... BEST WEEKEND EVER!

Why didn’t Emma go to the police first? A college isn’t equipped to conduct an investigation of this nature. And they’re far more concerned about saving face than actually delivering justice.
