I did some research... it ends up being $1-per-day... per family member. So a family of 4 would get a weekly allotment of $28. It's good. But it's not a lot. And yeah it is like a weekly prescription thing. I'm not loving it at the moment... but giving out money for fresh food can't be a bad thing.

They will probably give out a few Health Bucks and let the person know that every $5 of EBT/Food Stamps money spent at farmer's markets generates another $2 coupon. There is basically no limit but the Health Bucks program only runs from July-November. It's not a year round thing.

If only it were that easy.

Can someone please explain how this is considered acceptable? If any employee works full time, shouldn't the pay they receive be ENOUGH to live on? Wages should cover basic expenses with some left over to save...
