Did Legendary ever say they weren’t planning more movies though? Obviously, King of the Monsters flopping (relatively) probably gave them second thoughts, and Warners had tried to sell this to Netflix, but GvK had a better opening weekend than KotM, despite there being a pandemic and it being on HBO Max.

I thought so too, but I rewatched it and it’s unclear.

This show is already incredibly overstuffed, and I’m not looking forward to them throwing yet another element into the mix with Ayo. I wouldn’t mind her getting an actual character that’s more than “the one Dora Milaje who was in Civil War,” but this series doesn’t seem like the place for that.

Is the “Before making the decision to see it—or any other film—in a movie theater, please consider the health risks involved” disclaimer gone?! I’ll miss you, disclaimer!

As Alan Sepinwall pointed out in his review, Battlestar stopped using the codename “Bucky” after Dwayne McDuffie pointed out to Mark Gruenwald that “buck” was a racial slur, which was then written into the comic:

But while Pretty Woman is iconic, Runaway Bride is mostly just forgettable.

I can’t find any links online, but they were talking about it on a recent Patreon episode of the Blank Check podcast, during their commentaries on the Shatner Trek movies.

It should be pointed out that Shatner doesn’t seem to have any real involvement in his Twitter account anymore (he’s a 90 year old man). It’s controlled by one of his daughters, who seems to be an asshole.

Wait, this is really an hour-long animated series? Is that even a thing?

I read the entire series in the three big compendium books they brought out. It has some low points, as you’d expect from a ~150-issue series, but I mostly enjoyed it throughout.

I’m annoyed that this probably means Dougray Scott is still going to be on the show. There was no reason for him to be on the show when Kate wasn’t around, and I was hoping they would just kill him off already.

It’s probably just a reference to the comics, where the old white Nick Fury went to the moon and became The Watcher for a while.

Yeah, Ariadne is very clearly the second lead of the movie. While Cobb is focused on forwarding the main plot of the film, Ariadne is just as focused on delving into Cobb as a character.

I (still) love Grey’s, but have no interest in Station 19, so this whole thing confused me and me wonder if I’d forgotten something that had happened back in December.

I am so glad this is a 99-minute film and not an eight-hour TV series.

while also trying to figure out who the hell the enigmatic Q might actually be. (If they work it out, though, the trailer for the series released today doesn’t give away the game.)

No Carey Mulligan is a surprise. Glad to see Rocks getting love though

part of a BBC series of 20th Century Great Novels which largely failed IMHO

There was a BBC version starring Richard Madden and Holliday Grainger a few years ago that was... fine? It wasn’t bad in any real way, but it wasn’t exciting at all.

Make more half-hour dramas!
