The ending to this book is one of the most frustrating twists I can recall. At least it’s memorable, which elevates it slightly above most of these generic thrillers.

The production timeline of this show is confusing to me.

Based on a Molly Ostertag book, so I’m on board.

The only time they were nominated together was in the The Iron Lady vs. Albert Nobbs year, where neither of them deserved a win.

You can get it on the ad-free tier too. You’ll need to pay $10 a month for Peacock Premium ad-free, and another $5 for WWE.

For those outside the US, I Care A Lot is an Amazon Original in a bunch of countries. It’s out the same day though, so I guess Amazon and Netflix co-operated on arranging its release.

Wikipedia lists it first, I think based on UK airdate:

I hope they put up Muppets Tonight too, there’s a lot of great stuff in that show.

No, the beekeepers are AIM, a mostly villainous group (though in recent years one of the heroes, Sunspot, decided to just buy the company, and use them for good):

I never watch anything on my phone, tablet, or even my laptop most of the time, but for some reason back in the day I watched a full season of The Shield on a first generation iPod Video. It was good!

I enjoyed the first batch more than most people, but the second half of S1 was a slog. I don’t think I’ll bother with this season.

Very happy to see Ayo Edebiri pop up as Hattie, hope there’s more of her coming later in the season.

You missed Locked Down, the Doug Liman COVID-set heist movie, on HBO Max next week:

I got the full series on iTunes for $30, and have the good seasons (2-5) on DVD for the extras.

There’s a great short Netflix doc on Rubik’s Cube solvers, The Speed Cubers.

There’s still a full episode on Youtube. It’s good!

The rest aren’t quite as bad (I Shall Wear Midnight is great, and Snuff is good), but there’s definitely a decline. Still lots of great moments, even if the books don’t work as well as a whole.

It was a BBC show, so exactly like Steptoe.

Aside from the three leads, the only other actor billed is Natalie Morales, who doesn’t seem to be in the trailer? I hope she gets something to do.

Yeah, I assume Sudeikis will be too busy with two seasons of Ted Lasso to film to do more than an occasional check-in though.
