When the nominees for the Directors Guild Of America’s annual awards were announced, we felt compelled to point out that the vast majority of them—all on the film side and most on the TV side—were men.

I think Forbidden Planet have them.

The Big Bang sell them, but they sold out fairly quickly; I’m not sure if they’re back in stock yet.

Yeah, it could be a contractual thing.

I assume it’s less because of Hobbs and Shaw and more because Jumanji 3 is filming at the same time as F&F9.

They’re also (SPOILERS) combining The Master and Drusilla into one character.

Star Wars: From A Certain Point Of View had some great stories in there, but they really needed to cut down the number of cantina stories. That whole section became a slog to get through.

Brad Bird said his next movie is going to be a musical.

SEAN!

I’ve been a fan of Tarver for years, so I’m very happy this is good.

Obviously, but I don’t need a documentary on him.

I haven’t seen the Mr. Rogers doc, but the impression I get is that it’s very much a “for the fans” thing, with not much critical thought in there.

Huh, I live in Ireland and definitely had Sesame Street as a kid.

Might Won’t You Be My Neighbor? have been hurt by none of the non-American voters caring at all about Mr. Rogers? I don’t know how big a segment of the voters that is.

Jackson mentions still wanting to do it once a year or so.

The “hustled, scammed, bamboozled, hood winked, lead astray” tweet makes me miss the Denzel Washington is the Greatest Actor of All Time Period podcast, with its incredibly confusing ratings system based on the bit in Malcolm X that Ja Rule is paraphrasing.

It was a bunch of different minor recurring characters, like Mitchell, Jason Schwartzman, and the guy with the mustache and tattoos who ran the pawn shop.
