Sort of on topic, David Ehrlich’s excellent annual Best Films video is up:
Audible does them internationally fairly regularly.
That’s the first episode of S2.
And early next year, everyone’s favorite time-traveling eccentric will meet d’Éon in Sword Of The Chevalier, a Doctor Who audio drama in which David Tennant and Billie Piper reprise their roles. (Wikipedia says November 2017, but the release date is listed elsewhere as February 2018).
Being picked up for two seasons doesn’t mean you film them back-to-back. Plenty of shows get picked up for two seasons.
Yes, though the first season is good but not great. It improved a lot in Seasons 2 and 3.
It’s possible this is part of The CW’s deal with Netflix, and they’ll still make money off of it.
The (excellent) UK cop show Line of Duty went from 3.43M viewers in S2, to 5.42M in S3, to 9.55M in S4.
fast track the show for release in 2019
Caity Lotz needs a big-screen action vehicle like Atomic Blonde that would show off her fighting prowess. I just want to see her put in increasingly complicated action scenes for two hours.
Yeah, Chris Hewitt from Empire Magazine was at SDCC and said the same on Twitter. They’ve had an extra four months of post-production, so it makes sense.
Though the gay thing is pretty much the only thing they have in common. I’d say CMBYN is closer to La La Land, to be honest, if only as they both feature scenes in which characters dance to songs from the GTA: Vice City Wave 103 soundtrack.
As a long-time Doughboys listener, my first thought was to wonder how much Matt Selman will get for all his shares.
Geese got in the engines, IIRC.
With Justice League in theaters, Marvel Cinematic Universe loyalists have been left with nothing but The Punisher to distract themselves with since Thor: Ragnarok came out, especially since the long-awaited Avengers: Infinity War trailer is nowhere in sight.
Apparently they had only filmed for a week or two, but I’m guessing they had most of the episodes already written, and are trying to figure out how to make it work with all of Frank’s scenes deleted.
They are bringing out a novel of The Krikketmen, which I’m less familiar with, though I remember not liking the parts of So Long and Thanks for All the Fish based on it: http://www.doctorwho.tv/whats-new/article/coming-in-2018-douglas-adams-doctor-who-and-the-krikkitmen/
For a “lost” story, Shada has been re-released an awful lot. There’s already been a novel, an animated web version, and an audio version at least. Plus Adams reused a lot of elements of it for Dirk Gently.
They haven’t gotten there yet.
