This is so bad it makes Buzzfeed listicles look funny.

Well that was boring, but at least there was a lot of it.

On behalf of everyone here, let me thank you for sharing that gripping tale of sarcastic confusion and smug rejection of something mildly out of sync with your expectations. The fact that many people profess to enjoy a thing only serves to underline the heroism inherent in your casual apathy towards it. Bravo.

Zach Woods on the day he forgot to wear his contacts.

He’s been hosting a TV show on a cable network for a while now and no one has noticed that either.

He looks like Paul Rust if he was trapped in a sauna for several weeks.

I got to really like this guy’s delivery. Seems so standard, but lands on the money each time.

You clicked on a show centered on the spoken word and got distracted by how it looked? That’s not Mulaney’s fault.

Why is the AVClub, a politics blog, writing about stand-up comedy?

There’s an old HBO special (on YouTube) where Seinfeld, Rock, CK, and Gervais discuss comedy. It’s a great crash course for any aspiring comic. But Chris Rock hammers the point about how critical setup is because a joke can’t land unless the audience can perfectly visualize the scene.

This assumes that Trevor Noah is noticeable. I have my doubts.

She also tweeted (and then deleted said tweet) about how Elon Musk is not a union buster and how privatizing public transit is for the greater good, which is just a load of BS.

Our world is like the Dr Seuss story of the Sneetches. One group has sneetches in it that act stupid and hateful. The other group has sneetches that doesn’t like it but commences to treat the other group back stupid n hateful.

I’m honestly stunned that someone thought an acoustic-ish cover of September wasn’t a trainwreck. This is something a wedding singer does if they have no choice, not something you do on purpose.

As soon as I skimmed through this article I said to myself, “I bet a white person wrote this.” Alas, I was not wrong. It was undeniable from the moment I saw the attempt at an insult through the nod to a vanilla latte... even more so once I saw “palette cleanse.”

One of the things I absolutely loved about classic era Simpsons was how it would do exactly that : Start in one spot where you thought you had a good idea where it was going and then take a hard turn 10 minutes in into a completely insane new plot.

A giant mess that served nothing

we could internet duel to the death about how that guy is 100% wrong, but i really have no interest to defend the current show.

Honestly, “So it’s Come to This” was a pretty great half episode. There are a bunch of great gags in the new material. The shaken beer nuke, homer getting out of his coma for candy, him only recovering to strangle bart. Pop in a B plot about Krusty undergoing surgery and maybe an episode of the adventures of ned

Lisa has also had the potential to be an absolute monster (‘Bart’s loss is funny - mine isn’t’), some people just choose to be blind to it.
