Check out JL Collins’ “Simple Path To Wealth”. He makes a very compelling case to just use 100% broad based index fund such as VTSAX, during your wealth accumulation phase.

You don’t have to fear death, unless some jerk of a main character rips your stack out and crushes it with his boot.

I learned that joke as “... she tells her mother goodbye, and hangs up the phone”

Or saying it while texting, or browsing facebook...

Easy for me as well, since I’m vegetarian now. Younger me would’ve been devastated.

So you wouldn’t be down with my diabolical plan to farm billions of these ticks and release them throughout the world. Got it! ...... too late muhahaha

Just wait until you get bit by a Lone Star tick, and develop an allergy to red meat!

Since I’m married, I do care most about family coverage. Yes, it’s clear they are focusing on just the employee, and trying to keep families off. UPS and others were pushing to get rid of spousal insurance. Luckily, I can go through my spouse’s insurance and not get stuck with my coverage.

See, that all would make sense, if the demographics held up. The majority of the new company’s employees are young people, not older and sicker. That’s part of my frustration and confusion.

Appreciate the response. I definitely don’t think we have any atypical benefits at all, other than just how little is covered, and how much it costs.

My current employer, with hundreds of employees, is “self-insured” and our premiums are insanely high. My previous employer was about 20 people and had quite reasonable total premiums. In fact the TOTAL premium at my old company was significantly less than just the employee or employer contribution at the new company.

I heard a speaker relay a funny story. When he moved to America from Sweden, people would compliment him on good his english was. He had been in America 20 years by the time of the story, and he said he doesn’t get the compliments anymore. Translation, his accent hadn’t changed in 20 years.

I’ve always wanted to try Bryanna Clark-Grogan’s Soy & Seitan Loaf. It looked amazing. I made a stuffed seitan one year that was good, even if it did stick to the foil! :(

We’ve done a “traditional” menu as well. Mashed potatoes, roasted squash, stuffing, cranberries, no-fu loaf, fresh baked bread, etc. Gives the meat eaters a flavor for what we normally eat at their thanksgiving meals. Except we can’t usually eat the mashed potatoes or stuffing, because they’ve added turkey to them. :(

We’re vegetarians. Every year we do thanksgiving with a different theme. Indian. Sushi (veggie of course)/Stirfry. Italian. Etc.

“I mean, I can’t legally force her to leave if she’s going to continue to see or communicate with him.” Yes, you can. You talk to a divorce lawyer, hopefully with evidence of the infidelity.

I do know a coworker who spit in a patron’s food when I worked in a kitchen. (I didn’t find out until the patron was gone for the night) I still regret not taking it to the boss and having him fired. I also know someone that spit in a “natural peanut butter” jar in a grocery store when he was stocking shelves, before

Well, I did say the bloggers I read. :)

Agreed. I was just responding to @Zendax to indicate the tapping really doesn’t have a purpose. So if it “helps”, it’s all placebo effect. Having nothing to do with your “chakras” or whatever energy alignment mumbo-jumbo they are touting. (According to the wikipedia page)
