I just moved to a new home with an old ceramic electric cooktop. Gas is more precise, but is MUCH slower (as mentioned by others) I'd guess it is about 50% less time to heat a pot of water now on this electric top, versus my previous gas. Same on heating the oven.

Would be a big help to practicing musicians as well. Being able to drop the vocals from a mix, and bring up guitar would be spectacular. There are a couple tricks to do that with a complete mix (that sometimes work, sometimes don't), but having the stems is 1000x better.
