I just went to a theatre in a pretty shitty mall near me that's not busy often and it was crowded and took twenty minutes longer than usual to get to the seats. I am pretty sure this was for Straight Outta Compton if people listening to and talking about N.W.A in line is any indication.

Don't forget to watch the eyepatch bit in Living in Oblivion

and L'Eclisse

I don't know man, they really fucked me with Close-up

It's gotta be Barton Fink

I'm sure I've seen Rush Hour 2 at least thirty or so times and it's my favorite of the three. I love 'em all.

I watched:

Mildred Pierce > all of the others, and I love TDS2

I totally forgot and missed the Swansea game this morning. Chelsea = sick, tight, hot shit, cool, etc. I guess that's what I get for staying up and watching The Informant! for another time (worth it, as always).

Okay yeah, all of the ones where he plays Glenn Beck are some of my biggest highlights.

I agree, I'd prefer it if Franco were doing more directing than acting (this is not a joke, I repeat: this is not a joke)

Taste swing or exaggerative questions? If it's the former there's no need to worry, Eden and After is the only one from any time recently that I was very changing in my reception of (it's in the mid-40's of my favorite films which is still really damn high).

"Of all Kubrick's films, Eyes Wide Shut is the hardest to "get"; it's the hardest one to reduce to single meaning that explains it; the second half is pretty clearly about that impossibility. I don't think I've ever heard the same reading twice"

Huh. What accounts are you guys using? AV Club? Should I get in on that so I can give A's to all of the Antonioni's + Night Moves?

The recent bit about the dude trying to make Yogurt NY's state-food-symbol-thing kills me every time. I'll probably be responding to this intermittently as I think of many more.

Hey everybody I just found out without a doubt rhyme intended that Godard's Une Femme Mariée is my favorite film (for those keeping track at home: more than Prospero's Books, more than Night Moves (2013)) and the region free Blu-ray is sold out and the only estimate I've seen is 99 GBP which is like 150 USD plus

In my current mental state I can't say how this connects to the other but Sandro knocking over the ink in L'Avventura is one of my favorite truly evil moments in any film.

Is this Sweet Movie we're talking about?

I guess the no one watching it part was a huge surprise to me, I was blinded by its greatness.

Surely a direct response to Pedro Costa's Horse Money.
