I was really looking forward to the AV Club's reviews for this show after being blown away by the first six episodes, but I'm hestitant to even try to read the other ones after this. I get that Baz's style isn't for everyone, and perhaps the mistake was to write a review of this episode without having seen any other

This is my favorite comment ever.

Only came to see if Pacino was here. I'm satisfied.

Eh, the mom's elephants freakout, then, whatever. Disney does dark better than most.

THEY DIDN'T!! I know the story well, that's nuts.

Whatever, is this worse than Bambi seeing his mother get shot, Or a woman trying to kill a little girl because she's prettier than her, or crows that talk like poor black people, or that terrifying fucking donkey sequence in 'Pinocchio' that still freaks me out as an adult?

When it first went down, I was basically counting down to the moment Rhonda noticed the shoes. Anika seemed so genuinely confused when she confronted her, it mage me instantly doubt it was her.

To be fair, she already kind of knew that. Recall her meeting with Tits McGee.

I agree, but I think he legit thought he could talk some sense into her — he didn't seem to interpret her yanking a gun off a random guard and charging at Lucius as volatile behavior for some reason.

So is Boo Boo Kitty for sure gonna be the baby-killer, or is her crazy a totally different balloon that happened to float near Andre's house? She didn't look scared by Rhonda at all, more confused.

Tiana is the embodiment of "sex sells." I can't with her. If she dis the halftime show and people ccomplained like the did with Beyonce I wouldn't even think about getting mad.

I actually checked out of this show after the first episode of season two, but I just binged my way back up to now, and I've loved every trashy, ridiculous minute. Last episodes review old this one leads me to believe it might the reviews might fair better in someone else's hands.

Autotune IS pitch correction. when the parameters of Autotune are pushed to extremes, you get the Cher/TPain sound, but it's all Autotune, and this show makes extensive use of it.

It's a masculinity thing. a huge part of the reason why, historically, homosexual acts have been viewed in a negative light is because of the idea of a man assuming the 'feminine' role by allowing himself to be penetrated. Going centuries back, the top would still retain his status and'masculinity'because he was not

It seems that among the many ass-backwards, Studio-54-era ideas Lucious has about homosexuality is the belief that men on the DL are exclusively tops, which separates them from the run of mill closeted gay man, who only bottoms.

Agree, but the tiniest part of me was slightly afraid that he might deem Morgan useless and kill him.

I think the idea is that she's okay with killing to survive if it comes to that, but not to just go out and do it. She's Morganizing.

Her song 'Caught a Lite Sneeze' is believed to be about her relationship with Trent. If you look up her "Sessions at west 54th" performance from 98 she kind of calls him out at the end of it, referencing the song 'Hurt.'

I concur. How is it pronounced? Like Pho? Foo? I wish to be enlightened.
