You’re a cop?
I locked my keys in my car and my neighbor that parts out old VW’s opened it with a slim jim in less than 5 seconds. It was the quickest, most convenient thing ever.
I wasn’t suggesting they call AAA, i was assuming a cop would also have a slimjim.
For situations like this and virtually any other instance they’d need to get into a locked car. It’s the size of a ruler and costs very little.
So... every AAA guy has a slim Jim and can unlock a car without doing any damage in 5 seconds, but a cop doesn’t?
Sterling better not be dead god damnit. Archer is my spirit animal.
Obviously an Evans apologist. Or an Evans appropriator?
Yeah, it’s not really a brand issue. For example, when we were shopping for the Passat, my dad convinced her to check out a Chevy Equinox and that’s thing was GROSS. The interior was ugly and of shitty quality. The car itself was unpleasant to look at. It offered about 70% of the space a wagon would offer. Crossovers…
Yeah, my brother, dad, or I myself have to grab the keys and drive the shit out of it about once a month to keep this from happening. It’s been an ongoing issue
It’s not the ‘American’ aspect really, my dad is just an unreasonably firm believer in GM because he’s always bought Silverados. I don’t think he even knows the reality of what their smaller cars are like.
I figure it’s going to be tough to sell the car otherwise, and that it definitely won’t be putting down 200+lb ft of torque and 40mpg after they neuter it, so why keep it? If you let them ‘fix’ it, it won’t be the same car.
Saw this. I personally wouldn’t advise anyone to buy an Accord that isnt a brand new or really old, in terms of how much car you get for your money. And as for the CPO 328, it’s kinda doubtful as my ‘14 CPO 320 hasn’t really been a beacon of good build quality.
Because a dreadful car is still a dreadful car. A full EV will at least have some torque.
Only in my nightmares.
Remote start would be a MAJOR selling point. Good idea. I’m just not sure an F150 will fit in their garage, length wise.
Oooh I didn’t even think of the Crosstrek. V60 might be a good idea too, I could sell her on a wagon. Does Subaru make a decent/comfy interior these days though?
It’s mostly length that’s the issue. And I’m pretty sure she wants something a little more up-market. Plus, she’s generally not a fan of the CUVs. A sedan or a coupe is probably the only way to go. I just think she would be happiest in a truck. Because when I sit in her driver’s seat, I’m at a 90 degree angle, and my…
Hah, she likes the idea for the exact same reason. But the parking situation is where that’s a problem. Colorado would be too long to fit in the garage. The Silverado already parks outside, and it’s way too hot here in the summer. My black leather burns me every day.
Man, that’s crazy. I like her TDi, but to turn down more money than she paid for it and the chance to get any new car is.... it doesn’t make sense. Especially when the estimated resale value of her car is about $12k, and VW is ready to fork over $24k for it.
