The state of the law in the parts of the country covered by this ruling is that the state can’t require licensed medical professionals to tell the truth, but can require them to lie (the rulings allowing states to require false information be given to patients seeking abortions). If you wrote this as fiction, it would

Serious question I have yet to find a good answer for. Why does the pro-life set argue that abortion is reversible at all? It’s obviously a ridiculous baseless idea in the first place, but how...how do they think this helps their case for life by saying abortion is reversible? I mean, wouldn’t that make people feel

Yes we do, because he wasn’t properly 5150'd. If he was a danger to others he could’ve been.

Family members have a different legal recourse than a complete stranger,

You can’t kidnap people, even if it’s for a good cause. He gets to decide if he wants to be in treatment unless he’s a danger to himself or others.

I wish people could be taken into treatment in less dire situations. I called 911 for a homeless woman with an obvious foot infection who was getting wet from sprinklers

I've never been to Salem but it blows my mind there's a tourist industry based on horrific accusations and horrible deaths. Museums seem great but witchy tourist shops... yikes!

To give an actual answer, it came around in the gay community when a pop star would start promo, drop visuals, etc. for a new album cycle, aka an “era”.

Two short stories - both told to me by the folks it happened to in NYC, and for some reason I found super creepy.

1 - My friend “Mickey” had some time to kill one afternoon so he went into a well known midtown Irish pub for a pint of Guinness (or 2 or 3). As he is leaving the bar, he notices a disheveled older guy

Some of us are, in fact, old. And, we get to describe ourselves however we fucking want.

“...and the type of internet speech everyone should stop using.

Hopefully, Taylor and Travis will break up and we can ride that out here for the rest of the year.

I for one cannot wait for the “era” era to be over with. It’s beyond overused.

Possibly concurrent? I’ve been seeing variations on “in my_____era” online for a while now.

Why are you still alive, Rockhard?

I think I’ve seen one sign against Issue 2 and maybe two in favor of it? My take is that Issue 1 is suckling all the oxygen from the conversation and people will vote on 2 the same way they vote on 1 out of sheer exhaustion.

DeWine’s “rebuttal” reminds of the old point/counterpoint article from The Onion years ago:

I’m actually watching with great curiosity to see if more of my fellow Ohioans vote for abortion or for recreational weed. I genuinely don’t know how it’s going to go, because old people can be so weird about marijuana. Like, both of my folks are liberal, but I’m sure that they both voted for Issue 1 (abortion rights)

I look forward to this thread all year, and the last thing I want to do is discourage someone from posting! Friends with freaky stories are too nervous to post because they are worried about commenters criticizing and poking holes in their stories. Plenty of this stuff isn’t scary to everyone, hews closely to cliches,

Playmate Ilse Taurins is said to be the one to suggest a hyperbolic feminine version of the company’s logo for practicality’s sake: It would be easier to light cigarettes in as little fabric as possible.”

If you asked me, far stupider things have been sold.
