That’s kind of how I feel about the former "Don't ask, don't tell" policy in the military.

The headline is a bit misleading. She said, “I think we can all come together and say any woman that has an abortion shouldn’t ***be jailed or*** given the death penalty. Can’t we start there?” Because actually, no, a lot of her people don't agree with no jail.

It’s SO weird. Like, what’s so bad about working in a garage for, what, an hour? People spend entire Saturdays tinkering in their garages just for fun. And like, why the snark? Are we Team SJP at this point? If so, I'd like to get out please.

Perfect username for this post! I completely agree. But for some reason the part that really has me sputtering is his whine about how this was supposed to be an *investment for their children.* A) those kids are gonna be fine, financially anyway; she could’ve left the winery as a tip to her favorite bartender and that

It does seem like getting married or having a baby gets actresses a lot of positive media attention, which could help them land roles. I'm not sure that's quite the same as being judged, or written off as a party girl, if you don't do those things. A key distinction between the two concepts would be whether there is

He’s always had kind of a long face, but even a slightly receding hairline can make that worse.

The best part of the Belloq outfit was the CNN White House Apologist who said it was about sending a message that “women are equal.” If Melania accomplished anything as First Lady, it was proving that women can be equally evil and repulsive as their husbands. Go Feminism!

Irrelevant personal anecdote: Jewel was my introduction to the concept of a radio edit. Like a lot of girls that age, I loved her songs ”You Were Meant For Me” and “Foolish Games” as heard on KIIS FM, so I saved up my allowance to buy the CD and...WTF? It was like a totally different singer recorded the album

I could see arguments for either interpretation. If you're a nepo baby, the implication is that your success is due to nepotism, which further implies that it's not the result of your talent, hard work, etc. But I think most people who aren't drooling, bootstrapping idiots understand that lots of talented,

It’s one woman's first-person account of her experience. She did make a passing reference to mustaches being verboten, but I don't think she owes it to anyone to research and report on men's experiences just to talk about her own.

Also, she wouldn’t be the first to make a joke along these lines:

Reminds me a bit of Melania's safari costumes: https://www.vox.com/the-goods/2018/10/5/17943396/melania-trump-africa-trip-kenya-ghana-malawi-egypt-pith-helmet

It’s a civil suit, so the standard is “preponderance of evidence,” aka more likely than not; “beyond reasonable doubt” is for criminal cases. But I agree it would be easy to argue a different interpretation. To me, it sounds like she didn’t know what had happened at the time of writing; she only knew her son was upset

The last time Manson was in the news for being exactly as terrible as he seems, several folks pointed out that fellow shock rocker Alice Cooper is known to be a total stand-up dude. So IDK, maybe judge people by their actions IRL?

Men don’t spend a lot of money and time on their appearance, because there isn’t anything we can do really.”

Does anyone else remember the website they used to have in the early aughts, before they made it big? I have this weirdly sticky memory of a blog post written by Michelle, in which she related how her kids’ piano teacher, after seeing her falling asleep in a chair during a lesson, offered to do her laundry for her.

I would love nothing more than to drink whiskey with Jane Fonda at a slumber party and hear everything she has to say about everyone. I’m pretty good at holding my liquor, though I’m not sure I could handle that much tea.

Manson: [is the worst]

Bring a book and find a comfortable place to sit

If that someone was an outsider, sure. Do you think she would stand up to her husband? I don’t have a strong sense one way or the other. I used to represent parents in child welfare cases, and saw lots of seemingly decent mothers who were either themselves too victimized by the abuser, or just somehow fucked in the
