Growing up relatively poor, we learned how to have an excellent, inexpensive (but still easy and filling) Thanksgiving.

No the tines have to be close together not far apart like that.  I’ll see if I can remember to post a pic after I get home.

Just a fork with tines that are real close together so you can fish the white stringy bit out.  I don’t think it’s specifically made for it but it works better than my regular table or cake forks.

They probably didn’t pull out the white stringy bit. Everyone knows you gotta pull out the white stringy bit. I have a special fork just for doing that, the tines are close so it makes the job easier.

If I want caramelized onions for a sandwich or sausage, I usually want them like onion jam. That’s why I slice them across the grain. I want them to break down into a mass of almost spreadable, oniony goo.

There are probably a dozen ways to slice an onion (or more) and each is unique and has a time and place depending on your recipe.

A big feature you left out is “Inverter” microwaves. Sounds like just some gimmicky, marketing “buzzword” but it has real implications. “regular” microwaves basically only ever operate at 100% power. It’s definitely worth it. I’ve gotten so many compliments on my brats. At first I thought people were just being polite to the grill master. To me, these are just how brats are supposed to taste. Then I went to a couple other peoples’ cookouts...and their brats were bland and mushy compared to mine.

I actually said in my comments I do work on that and I modify my behavior a lot. Perhaps you should work on reading comprehension because it doesn’t seem you aware that you are bad at it! But now that I have made you aware that’s a start! :)
