Beats me. I don’t even understand how people can afford $300k houses, which is the going rate for low end new construction in my area. And my partner and I have a household income of $170k/year.

Awesome car, and really cool exercise, but no way would I pay $26k.  This is something someone builds to own, not sell.

Same issue with the hydrophobic glass used for the windshield on my LS430. Insurance doesn’t like the idea of a $1,000+ windshield, but to me that is one of the features that help make the vehicle what it is.

Well, they do seem to know how to use the left lane properly over there.  I don’t think it will be that much of a problem.

I’m with you, but what happened to the trim on the dash to the right of the center stack?

I went through a period of 780 obsession.  They are such nice looking cars.

Minnesota?

Oh, Alberta. The Texas of the North.

So where do the jobs and higher wages come into this equation?

It’s almost as if business isn’t a benevolent provider that will altruistically provide better paying jobs to help the economy in exchange for tax cuts and tariffs on competition.

This guy has two Esprits from the late 80's.

Duh. That’s why you have two.  Same reason a guy in my town has two Lotuses. Loti?

I got it with 109k miles and did all the fluids and plugs at 120k. I also did the brakes around then. Suspension has needed refreshing in the past 20k miles, but mechanically it has been flawless. It’s at 186k now and will need a new timing belt (and water pump while it open) at around 200k. It’s pretty easy to work

I’ve got an LS430 (2005, so post-refresh) and I’m hoping to make it to 300k miles. I love it so much.

If the body looks this good I wouldn’t worry about hidden rust. That being said, a bunch of bondo under that paint might tell a different story. It is entirely possible to keep a car clean through the winters and not have it devoured by salt.

I’d love to see Suikoden.

I was on a class trip to Europe in 1999 and I still remember the very first TT I ever saw in the wild.  My friends and I were all so excited.  I think I tried taking a really crappy picture with an instamatic camera.

My buddy in college mentioned that when his family went on road trips they took their GTI over their A4 due to the fact there was more legroom in back.

I was just going to say that.  I use the paddles on my 135i all the time.
