One reason I like my 2014 WRX. The transmission still has feel to it.

Modern trucks and SUV have gotten huge. I was recently standing in front of a F250 and the hood on that came up to my shoulders, and I’m a pretty tall guy. I love how pop-up headlights were removed for “pedestrian safety” and now we have vehicles that are literal walls which somehow are ok for pedestrian safety?
I was looking at the top picture, and was like man, that looks a lot like Flagstaff. That’s because it is!

My Miata is named Misaki inspired by main character from the anime Manga and Anime Maid Sama! She is a high school class president, but also secretly works at a Maid Cafe. Just like Misa-chan, I think the Miata has two personalities. One being a laid back convertible, and the other being a super fun track toy! Plus my…
Yeah most people don’t expect snow in Arizona... This has surprised many folks over the years (coming from an actual Flagstaff resident). There have been times where we have gotten snow in May!
I can’t imagine what this thing must feel like to drive. It weighs less than my Miata and yet it has almost 6 times the power. That is insanity. Also happy that a NA engine is back in a Pagani. The noise is going to be glorious!
Just because you make a lot of money and pay a lot of taxes, doesn’t mean you can do whatever you want. You still have to follow the laws like the rest of us. Money does not put you above the law.
Agreed, the S70/s is an amazing engine that was only ever used in the F1. It was still a bespoke engine built specifically for the F1. Not any different the Cosworth engine now.
I really enjoyed reading “How to Drive” by Ben Collins. A lot of good information on how to be a better driver presented through the form of interesting life stories. I can highly recommend it!
I don’t get it. At the end of the day it’s still a 4000lb+ car. All the CS achieves to do, is make the normal M5 worse on the street. I would hate to do a road trip of any sort in those carbon seats. I guess I’m not the target demographic (as there is no way in heck that I can even afford a regular M5), so my opinion d…
That honor goes to my first car, my og Ford Exploder. I think when I got rid of it, it had well over 225k miles on it. I sold the car almost 10 years ago now, and every now and then, I still see it driving around town, so it’s still going!
The real question here is, does that fix the wind buffeting issue?
For me it was the original Bugatti Veyron. Back in 2006 I saw one in the wild. Everyone else in the car had no idea why I was freaking out so much, but that was probably the rarest car that I ever saw. It was even in the two-tone black and red. As a kid I spent hours pouring through magazines and books about super…
I don’t let my maintenance get behind schedule. I can’t afford to. I have a turbo Subaru with an EJ. You have to stay on top of the maintenance if you want to keep it running good.
Newest car I have worked on is a ND Miata, but compared to everything else on the market, it’s a pretty basic vehicle to work on.
Back when my WRX was more stock, I had two sets of tires: a set of high performance summer tires and a great set of winters. Ever since I lifted it though and put all terrains on it, (they have the severe weather rating) I’ve just run a single set and it has been just fine. I’m actually surprised at how good my…
2013 GT500. 662hp to a live rear axle via a manual transmission. With a live rear axle, everything is fine until it isn’t and that car does not have nearly enough tire (285 section rears) to put down all the power and will get sideways pretty much whenever you want (and at times not when you want). If you’re trying to…
